Personally, I don't think Spencer is bad.

He misses tackles, but you don't see him getting beat up and down the field like everyone else.

Also, it's only his second full year (I may be wrong here... ). I think he will continue to improve his game.

lol. Spencer is a 7 yr vet

Damn, chico, where you been? Spencer was arguably one of Donahue's best picks.

Also why would you want to cut Spencer?? He's been our best cover man for the past 3 years

Spencer fell off badly this year. He was pretty good last year, but this season it's debatable whether he was our best CB or not.

Think about it. That 15million will be the best investment on our defense.

It will improve almost if not every position (except for the other corner) on defense. Including our pass rush.

That was an estimation from my part. But still, we do not know how the CBA will look in regards the CAP and we still have other people we need to sign. Even if we cut Clements, we will still be on the hook for the remainder of his initial signing bonus so who knows...

Oh, yeah.. I forgot to mention PEYTON MANNING is a free agent .

So, f**k champ bailey. haha

Peyton Manning isn't going anywhere.

no, let some idiots like the skins or gayboys invest such a big amount of money...

Hopefully Baalke doesn't think like you.

Teams don't even bother testing Nnamdi Asomugha. In fact, they game plan against it. That means the opposing team's top receiving threat is out of the picture. It also means that we can blitz whenever we want. What that means is more pressure on the QB, which helps the rest of the secondary.

$15 million is an investment worth making if you want to fix your entire secondary with just one player.

I love it when people assume that every single player out there just wants to come and play for us. As if there are no other suitors.

I don't know about Champ, but we may have the location advantage with Nnamdi. He's been in the Bay Area since 1999 and apparently likes it here. If he can be sold on Jim Harbaugh, which shouldn't be so hard, we might have a really good shot at him if the money is right.

I like this Madden 2012 Fantasy drafts and trades to make the niners a super team.

The Madden jokes are old and lame.

Come up with something new.

I guess with Bailey being older the only way would be to get him at a discount. But if we restructure clements contract or cut him that could take 8mill off the board. So it still could be possible.

Pay Nnamdi whatever he wants.

I would buy that Jersey immediately. I would wear it every time I knew that I would be stopping my friends house's that are Raiders fans.

Muahaha.

In Eddie D's day....he would have been able to pull this off.

Nah I just feel like he's been injured every year... I didn't mean he was picked 2 years ago.

I just remember him either out with the ACL or injured throughout the season. I feel like he's really only had 2 years under his belt of full on starting experience. And will get better with more experience.
so much fail in this thread.

I'd rather pay NNamdi 3 yr 40 million lock down corner Than what Joe Haden got last year at the no 7 spot 5 yr 50 million.

3 straight pro bowls will turn 30 this year

dude u know alex is the cheapest qb for teh team? kolb will want at least 5 mil palmer has ariculous contract now mcnabb will want 5 mil

and were paying clements 8 mil not 11 (im pretty sure not 100%)

also were probally wont pay the rookie that muchthey will be a rookie cap if cba gets done

Revamped secondary. We have the cap room.

Why not?

Asomugha + nagta= Championship! Prince with the number 7 over all!!!

I think you forget that we don't have a QB.
