Seahawks gave QB Charlie Whitehurst a two-year, $10 million contract -- unprecedented for a veteran who never has started an NFL game.
so is he the next Schaub or something?

WOW!
I did an offseason mock in early January that had us giving up a 5th rounder to San Diego for Whitehurst.
Seattle gave up the trade value chart equivalent of a 2nd rounder and a bigger contract than either one of our starters ????
Who knew?

Whitehead is on the Hawks.

Is Seattle retarded? He's never even attempted a pass in four years in a regular season game.
He was only decent at Clemson too. I cannot believe how ridiculous this is.

For some reason, Whitehurst scares me more than either Leinart or Anderson does.
Having said that: Mr. Whitehurst, meet

Now that would have been the QB to go after.

from a seahawks message board
John Clayton is reporting on ESPN 710 the two sides are finalizing a deal that will send Whitehurst to Seattle.

At least Schaub did play and show his skill on the field. This guy is gonna be terrible. But watch folks start to call this guy the best qb in the division.

It's a pure gamble, if it sinks the entire organization looks stupid, and if we see Whitehurst in the playoffs in 2011 they'll be praised and everybody will forget the last 2years of Seahawks mediocrity.
