I love your predictions, especially when there is no basis to them whatsoever.

I buy most of it, but I strongly disagree about Mallett. His arm is just too good. The guy has been reported to have throw the ball 85+ yards in practice on several occassions. Put his SEC production aside and his size and arm strength are probably enough to get him into the 1st.

-Jake Locker reestablishes himself as a top prospect and ends up going top 15. (Maybe sometime after 6 and before 8)
-3 QBs go in the 1st round, and possibly another one goes late in the 1st...but Mallett is not one of them. That guy drops like a rock
-Pats "reach" for Cam Jordan. For some reason I really see this as something that WILL happen.
-OTs/OGs will drop big time. None before top 15, and no more than 3-4 the entire first round. Aside from the lack of talent, the NFL is proving yet again that great lineman can be found later in the draft.
-Von Miller drops to the 2nd
-Niners will draft at least 1 or 2 stanford players later in the draft
Fua and Marecic FTW!

"-Jake Locker reestablishes himself as a top prospect and ends up going top 15. (Maybe sometime after 6 and before 8)"
I can see this happening. His drop last year could have been WR oriented.
"-3 QBs go in the 1st round, and possibly another one goes late in the 1st...but Mallett is not one of them. That guy drops like a rock"
Many teams hate spending 1st round money on non-QBs
"-Pats "reach" for Cam Jordan. For some reason I really see this as something that WILL happen."
No idea where this is coming from but will watch to see if crystal ball works!
"-OTs/OGs will drop big time. None before top 15, and no more than 3-4 the entire first round. Aside from the lack of talent, the NFL is proving yet again that great lineman can be found later in the draft."
Only a few highly regarded linemen this year and a wealth of DLinemen will go high, so I can see this happening!
"-Von Miller drops to the 2nd"
???
"-Niners will draft at least 1 or 2 stanford players later in the draft "
Can see Harbaugh and staff wanting their favorites to join them--they know the system!

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Niners slide back 5 or 6 picks and take Locker, Mallett or Gabbert (whomever is available) and pick up an extra pick.

That would not bother me at all, this team has too many holes, additional picks are crucial.

-4 QB's taken in first round
-record number of dline taken in first round
-WR's shockingly under drafted, again
-down year for offensive linemen yet OT's over drafted, again
-Niners draft a QB and speed, speed, speed.

I really was getting polarized on Prince Amukamara but watching him trying to cover Justin Blackmon has me reconsidering.
I think our defensse is fine. It's our offense that needs a COMPLETE overhaul.

I agree with the Von Miller dropping prediction and don't agree on the Cam Newton predication. Miami would pick Newton up in a second.

Not a bad plan! I'd be very happy with Mallett and a new burner at #2 WR. There aren't enough words in the English dictionary to describe how much I dislike Josh Morgan.

Our offense is loaded with talent though. We just need to rectify the one key position.
Our defense could really use a boost. Our front seven needs work and our secondary is really hurting. I'd love to get Peterson at CB, but I don't see Prince as a top 10 talent either. I can't get the Blackmon debacle out of my head either. He'd be an upgrade, but I think it would be a reach.
If we stay put at #7, I think Dareus or Fairley would be the best options for us. Both would be great DEs to pair wih Smith and I think Fairley could even be a nice NT.

Good post. Totally agree w/you about Locker. Even if Von falls to 2nd I feel someone will grab him before we can.
