What NFL QB would you bring to the Niners?

Larry Kerger was saying on the radio that because Roman said that the QB position is "fluid" that might mean that the 49ers are looking for outside options. He said the name you have to watch the next two weeks would be Josh Johnson because Alex just doesn't get rid of the ball fast enough for WCO and Kaep is too raw. Although apparently Roman said that on August 3 the day before Alex started practicing. Q: On whether he's OK having QB Alex Smith and a couple of rookies at quarterback or do you expect the team bringing in a veteran at some point. A: "We'll have to see how that goes. We'll have to see how that all plays out. I mean, that's hard to say right now, that's really hard to say. I think that's pretty fluid and we'll have to see how the guys that are on our team right now progress, but that's definitely something that we'll keep an eye on just like we will really at every position."

Trade for Orton (only 3rd round pick I think). Would much rather wait and sign Josh Johnson next year rather than trading for him.

I'd be ok with Josh Johnson or Brian Brohm.

Truth be told if we need that 3rd QB (or possibly even 2nd) we are in for a world of hurt anyway so..................

Orton is officially slated as the starting QB now, he's not going anywhere this year.

I would trade Taylor Mays and a 5th round pick for Johnson.

Its probably wishful thinking but imo a 5th is too high for JJ but to have AS, CK, and JJ compete for the starting spot?

Good thing we dont have any braindead carribean hitters playing the quarterback position on this team, so we dont have to worry about him being biased about our quarterbacks.
