seems like weve played SD as our last preseason game every year for a while.
played them in the final preseason week every year since 2006, not sure about years before then.

Which is a GOOD THING, no team wants to go 4-0 in the preseason... it's worse than the Madden curse... it guarantees either a botched season or a poor playoff run.

Looked it up and we have played them every year in the pre-season since 1976 (can't find any pre season records prior) except 78 and 86. Recently it has been the last game but a lot of them where 3rd and some where first or second. We have beat them 2 times in the past 9 years.

I just want our boys to put in work & to continue our growth as a TEAM. I'm all for winning, however Im not gonna trip of we don't. Plus I don't want anymore 49er injuries.
