Patriots released LB Adalius Thomas. Only question was when. And the when is now. Thomas now free to sign elsewhere.
I see four possibilities as more likely than the rest: Back to Baltimore, reunite with Nolan in Miami, or Rex Ryan in New York or maybe the Redskins.

I remember when it was between him and Clements and Thomas chose NE. I wonder if the Jets will pick him up...

Adalius Thomas bristled at the notion that he would automatically sign with the Jets if he's released later this offseason.
"Everyone has me going to the Jets because of Rex Ryan," said Thomas. "I also played for Marvin Lewis, Mike Singletary, Jack Del Rio, Mike Nolan. So why don't they ever include those people in the conversation, those teams? Because that doesn't sell." Thomas will obviously have more than one suitor if he hits the market after the draft.

I bet he regrets not signing with us....instead he wanted to stay on the east coast and play for a playoff contender. (understandable, but I bet he still regrets it)

This would bound to be an upgrade, I cant see us not calling to inquire. New England had to have just not matched scheme wise, he was a beast!

You think he'd want to come take over for Manny Lawson?

Once he left the Ravens he was exposed as not being a good pass rusher at all. Bart Scott replaced him easily

I guess I'm one of the few that don't want him on the team...unless it was for vet minimum. He had his chance and I don't really blame him for choosing NE over us. But our LB core is pretty good plus we added a couple more via FA and draft. I'd rather not pursue Thomas and work w/ who we have now.

I like Thomas' versatility...he's one of the few guys out there that (when motivated) could play both ILB and OLB effectively. That said, I doubt we go after him.

Yeah, we got too many guys whose contracts are about to expire. We need to focus on extending them.

Rather pick up Henderson.
