mattbarrows Singletary: Niners "could" have interest in LB Adalius Thomas but right now the team is happy with the olb's on the roster.

We should definitely look into signing him!!! Here's valid reasons why.
1. With a top ILB to play with and a stout DL, Thomas played at a very high level. We have the best ILB in the league and have one of the top DL. NE ILBs got old and their overall defense got week on top of losing Seymore.
2. Singletary gets the most out of his players.
3. It seems that Belachick is beginning to lose his affect on players as he's getting at that "too smart for his own good" stage.
4. He's better than any OLB we have if you include Reason 1.

Meh, I doubt even if we're interested enough to fly him out, the dips**t would rather probably stay in the East and sign with the Dolphins or Jets.

If Thomas were any good the Patriots would have kept him or at least traded him instead of just releasing him. He didn't want to move to west coast even when the Niners were offering him a mega contract. Anyone think he will now move to the west coast for a minimum deal? I don't want him or Lawson to be Niners next season.

I think Thomas is still good, its just his relationship went sour in NE with Belichick, and even more after he got injured.

There has to be a reason that other teams were not interested in trading for him and why teams have not tripped over each other trying to get him in for a visit now that he's a free agent.

My guess is that teams are concentrating more about signing their draft picks instead of aging veterans. Aging veterans like Thomas can be signed closer to camp.

can't find the link so sorry but a recent article posted on the main page said we might kick the tires on Thomas but probably won't go after anyone else. I say why not let him compete w/Laboy, Brooks, Lawson let the best man win.
