Definitely. You know I'm not really reactionary, but I see too much "it's a long season, we'll get it together" from this team, and have for a long time now. It's like a b******t cop out for not playing hard.

Hopefully we can break the 40% barrier from the FT line tonight. 12-31

That was really what was most pathetic about last night.

Yeah, you expect it from Dwight, even though he shot way less that his 48% average , but everybody else shot them like s**t too.

I hated Mike Brown when he was Cavs coach.
But, it's game 1. Heat started poorly couple seasons back...
Ya, I figured we'd start slowly as well, especially considering that the main pieces barely played together in the preseason due to injuries.
But the effort was unacceptable. It's one thing to not be executing and not have chemistry, but we were hitting on 55% of our shots for a good portion of the night, getting to the line (and being goddamn awful, even aside from Dwight), and not turning the ball over. We didn't get our asses kicked because of execution on the offensive end. Dallas was playing so much harder than us it was embarrassing. And while it's easy to point the finger at Brown, this s**t has been going on since Phil's last year.
If this effort level persists, I don't think Brown gets more than 15-20 games. If that happens, I want Jerry Sloan. That old man would fist fight these dudes at center court before accepting the level of effort that they consistently give. This team needs someone to kick their asses.
Yea, I think Lakers do have a tendency to relax a bit. Maybe what also contributed to a dull performance was they were thinking too much...rather than reacting and letting the instinct take over? It could happen when you're playing with so many new pieces.

Yea man, we really do suck after yesterday's performance. It just seems like the coaches didn't get anything done in training camp. We did see glimpses of what the offense can do on ocassion lastnite, but man absolutely no defense anywhere. Interior and perimeter defense was atrocious. Im sure they will eventually find they're offensive rythmn, but until then, if they dont tighten up the defense we're gonna keep losing to teams we should beat IMO.
