I agree with this. I've never been anyone who cares much one way or another about all-star team selection, but with some of the fan voting I see I'm starting to think it should strictly be given to coaches and players...even keep the writers and their bias out of it. Not just the NBA, but all sports.

Yeah, I hope that our fanbase doesn't become too emotional over the All-Star fan balloting. Needless to say, in every sport, it's a popularity contest. Each year, we all seeing the #s come out, then we debate which players really should go. Steve Nash and Ricky Rubio in the top 10 (for backcourt players) speaks volumes.

Plus, I'm sure that Curry and Lee would easily sacrifice some All-Star game exposure for a chance to play in the postseason.for once.
