Festus - WHY?

Festus - WHY?

Festus- Big body that can board and play defense. Will be good depth for you guys. Some thought he'd be a late first rounder. It's a good pick.
Did the Warriors even try to move from 30h spot? Or did they figure the talent spread was thin after they selected at 7?

He's exactly what we needed
A big body (7 feet 270 lbs) that can grab some boards and block shots. We needed another big man off the bench especially a shot blocker/rebounder that Festus has the potential to be. A lot of analysts like that pick for us

Marcus Thompson ‏@gswscribe
Myers on Ezeli: "We were sweating that one out. We had 2 maybe 3 scenarios where we were going to package our picks and get up and get him"

Our roster looks like this right now
PG: Stephen Curry/Charles Jenkins
SG: Klay Thompson/Brandon Rush
SF: Harrison Barnes/Richard Jefferson/Dorrel Wright/Draymond Green
PF: David Lee/Ezeli Festus/Jeremy Tyler
C: Andrew Bogut/ Ezeli Festus/Andres Beidrins

That's 13 players
Max is 12, right?

Wright will be traded for sure.

Not sure if Barnes will start from day 1 but I expect him to be starting mid season, kinda like how we eased Klay into the starting rotation

Disagree. Jenkins is a solid backup PG and far better than a practice squad player. Tyler is VERY young but has some serious skills.

Sounds to me like HailSatan has no clue what he's talking about

that doesn't surprise me, considering his name is hailsatan

Child please your like 10 years old...

...but I digress. Jenkins had flashes this season but c'mon you have him step in next season for significant periods and we're back in the lottery. Sure it's premature to make any certain assessments of Jenkins but I surely wouldn't invest on him as my back up PG considerings Curry's ankle history. Free agency should be good!

A small forward and a big man, the players were wrong, but the idea was right. I think Barnes definitely fits in nicely with what we have assembled. His offense should be doubly aided by Klay and Steph as shooters and by Lee and Bogut as passing big men. His mid range game should flourish off of spacing alone.

However, the quality most needed as always is Defense and if he can bring it on that end he could immediately be our best two-play player, save Bogut. Perhaps Richard Jefferson can play Player/Coach and mentor the kid to justify his absurb contract.

I'm concerned about his lack of ability as a ball handler, but I suppose that just deepens the need for Curry to step up as the Point Guard that the team hopes he becomes sans Monta. I still want to bring in Jason Kidd, but I'm sentimental that way.
Festus looks fit,

Green looks a little chubby, doesn't he?

barnes and thompson seems like a good core for years to come.
