good argument, cant disagree, will just have to wait and see how it plays out, thats the great thing about sports is were both speculating, just from my experiences watching sooo many playoff series, usually the team that is better at adjustments, which usually is the better coach wins, and our adjustments were great, tonight will say alot on how good okc coach is, i know little about the dude.... if they dominate, well clearly its over but if its a very similar game to game 2 than will win game 3 and 4, that means he didnt make many adjustments...and i think we win this series

I'm very excited to watch this game and see how OKC counters. It almost seems like they have the confidence that they can beat LA and won't collapse if they are down early. The weapons are there. I'm more interested to see how they defend the key as we all know Pau and Bynum will get the ball early. Bynum did take 19 shots but they can take advantage of Ibaka as he's primarily effective as a help defender.

Personally, I think this stage is too big for guys like Blake, Barnes, Ebanks, and Sessions. Hill on the other hand gets on that court to ball all out. May actually be better to start Bynum and Hill and bring Pau off the bench.

If OKC's not hitting shots, the game will be close but if they are, it's over.
i agree, yea stage is too big for sessions, foo has disappointed me, ive been telling my brother the exact thing about sessions, its too big for him man, i knew this by like game 5 of the last series ... were gonna have to win with out him because hes a lost soul in these playoffs

not sure about ebanks and hill, theyve hit shots, hill actually has played far better than i couldve ever ask for, ebanks hit shots when metta was out.

Barnes ... dont think the stage is too big but the foo is just playing freaking sorry as hell, he's hit a slump at the wrong time, out of everyone barnes is the one that has pissed me off the most. dude cant make a shot, makes the stupidest fouls and just really grinds my gears at the moment. but im a what have you done for me lately type of fan, so im hoping i feel different around 10 30 tonight lol

Yes, but the other team has to have the cap space to absorb the contract without going over. That, along with his No Trade Clause, makes Kobe nearly impossible to deal.

This is how it was gonna have to go all along. A couple of years with the main guys on the decline was a price we were gonna have to pay. I'd say we got our money's worth out of this incarnation of the Lakers. Like Stoney said, I'm confident we'll reload and be back in the next 4-5 years, just as we've always done.

It will be too easy. Any top FA is an automatically high possibility for the Lakers.

I don't know about too easy, but they can get it done. There's no denying the history and legacy of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Not the Lakers. The attraction of Hollywood. Clippers could have done the same if their owner weren't so cheap in the past.

WTH are you talking about? The attraction is 100% the Lakers, and not just Hollywood.

It's Hollywood and the fact that the Clippers in the past never wanted to spend money. If the Clips owner likes the taste of the playoffs and decides to spend some money, he will have players flocking to him.

I disagree.

with all due respect stoney, id have to agree with joecool also, playoffs + competative wages + so cal = flocking free agents ... no matter the what logo there wearing, there coming

ill add this also, if all things the same and its a choice between the lakers and clippers ... its lakers everytime

Hill has been a great edition. Ebanks still gets quiet at times but I haven't seen enough of him to really tell. I'm sure Lakers fans would know better. I think Barnes has the Kobe dilemma where every miss becomes a deeper thought that it could have been Kobe's shot. Ron Artest was hesitant also for a while until Kobe had to yell at him to not pass up shots.

yea barnes has reached the point were he's thinking "what if i miss again", when the ball is passed to him, only making shots is gonna solve his issue. hopefully tonight !

He needs to take it strong to the rim a couple of times and force a foul or two...a la...Fisher style.

Speaking of Fisher....I have a feeling Fish is gonna be Fish tonight.

thats is a good way of looking at it ....
Nice try by the Lakers giving out the yellow shirts. You can see that not a f**k was given by a lot of the fans in attendance.
Great first quarter for the Lakers, despite giving up some easy baskets and turnovers.
On the left side of the court on the near side, there's a dude wearing a Kobe Lower Marion High jersey. Dude is feeling it. He's up and cheering on every play they make. He's fun to watch.

As usual the bench gives up the lead.
