Lebron vs. Jordan

How is this even a debate yet? Give LeBron a few more years, right now he's nowhere near the player that Michael was.

Yes, Michael had a great team but how many rings did the Bulls win without him? None. In fact they struggled mightily to even make the playoffs in the year he went to play baseball for his deceased father.

A year after his return, they won another 3 championships. IMO that shows that it was Jordan who was the driving force behind their success.

Wade has already won without LeBron. All of these championships go onto his resume and he'll always have one more than LeBron. How is he not in the MJ conversation? Is it because LeBron is "the king"? Is it because he came straight out of high-school as a prodigy? Is it because he wore #23? His game is nothing like Jordan's, they don't even play the same position.
How about if James wins a title first before you even mention his name in the same sentence as Jordan.

If you are even bringing up Horry in comparison to MJ you are not even a knowledgable basketball fan. Horry got those rings piggybacking on Hakeem Olajuwon, Kobe and Shaq, and then Tim Duncan/Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili. If you honestly think that Lebron is better than Jordan, you are nuts. MJ was a better defensive player and a much more skilled offensive player. He won 6 titles as the undisputed #1. You also brought up how at age 26 Jordan was ringless and didnt win till he was 27. Big difference is LeBron has been in the league 8 years now I believe, MJ had been in the league only 6 years before he won his title, this is LeBron's 8th year and he is not even the undisputed #1 on his own team. You are just saying this crap because you are a huge LeBron homer and you are a heat fan.

LOL @ LeBron not being the #1 on his own team. He is the best player in the league.

I said undisputed #1. He might be 1.A but then Wade is definitely 1.B. Even if LeBron is the best player on the Heat is not the #1 option all the time, and he came to Wade's team instead of having other people go to his team. Wade already won a ring without LeBron.

Yeah but who was the #1 on their Jr. High Basketball team? LOL came to his team. LeBron is the best player on the Heat that isn't even debatable.

I agree 100%. He's the best player in the NBA and on the team obviously. And "came to the team." Come on. That's a product of being in Miami. It's a nice place to live. Great weather. Much more appealing than Cleveland... It doesn't mean it's Wade's team or he came to Wade's team...

And Wade won a ring with Shaq...

Shaq was not the same player in Cleveland that he was in Miami. Miami was before his dramatic decline that we have seen recently. He was still a real effecive player in the Miami years.

What Scottie Pippen meant to say was that Lebron James is the greatest physical specimen to ever play the game of basketball.

To even compare Lebron James actual talent, competitiveness, mental toughness, overall ability, and RESUME to Michael Jordan is just so absolutely f**king ridiculous.

It would be the equivalent of saying Dwight Howard is better than Bill Russell.

Pippen said this for 2 reasons.

A) its a sly way of saying "I was a big reason Jordan won those titles"

B) he just wants a few mins of post-career fame.

obviously LeBron isnt better than Jordan. its not even remotely close. Jordan had 100 times the drive that James does. 100 times the fire, the tenacity, the instinct, the clutch ability, the personality, etc.

LeBron is just a kid who wanted to play with his friends in a beach town. an extremely talented kid, but hes soft.

Jordan was addicted to competition. he had to win at everything he did in life. he had trouble sleeping at night. instead he spent his nights at the casino. its like he had 10 times the amount of drive than a normal person.

if he hadnt played baseball in 94 and 95, he wouldve won 8 consecutive NBA titles for the Bulls. hes the greatest basketball player of all time. just because LeBron has a bigger frame and can do all the same kinds of athletic moves means very little. lets see LeBron LEAD his team to 1 title first. when he gets to 6 we'll start talking.

btw im a Jazz fan. i hated the guy as a kid. he spoiled the title for me twice in row, but i was very aware how great he was. when LeBron gets the ball late in close games, your heart doesnt sink into your stomach because you know hes going to stick that winning shot no matter how many guys are on him.

but other than that i have no opinion on the matter.

This...he used the word "may be" - and ppl are running with the quote. Over-reaction to Pippen's comments.
