Yes, to an extent. I'm assuming that you're gonna have Kidd guarding Wade (after Stevenson goes out) and Marion on LeBron, and those are four of the best rebounding perimeter guys in the game. Well...Kidd's gotten a little older and isn't grabbing the boards that he used to, but he's still a very good rebounder for a PG. Toss Mike Miller into the mix as well, as he's an excellent perimeter rebounder.

So along with Chandler, LeBron/Wade/Miller don't have the gigantic rebounding advantage that they do over most opposing perimeter players.

Man, this game can't start soon enough. The matchup and how they will turn out are exciting as nearly every player is well experienced and smart at the game. You don't really have a "Rondo can't shoot" or some major weakness of a team.

Ya, it's really a great matchup. I think the tremendous talent disparity between Miami & Dallas' 2nd & 3rd best players is going to be too much for Dallas to overcome, but as I said earlier, nothing would surprise me.

One thing about Dallas though...they've been through a LOT of playoff battles and a LOT of disappointments. They have a lot of experience, and presumably a lot of hunger. I don't think they'll get rattled in this series the way that I think Chicago did. A lot of ringless vets that have been through the battles. (Dirk, Kidd, Marion, Terry)

Do you consider Dallas' bench much stronger? And how much freaking longer can Lebron play 40+ minutes a game? Wade hit a wall trying to that and if there's any team they will need to not have a drop in the talent on the court, it's against Dallas.

I do. Dallas is one of the few playoff teams that has 9 guys that get 15+ MPG, and I think one of their unheralded advantages is that they can give you very different looks at 3 positions. JJ Barea is a totally different kind of player than Jason Kidd. Peja is totally different than Marion. Same with Jason Terry & Stevenson.

I don't think benches are usually all that important in the playoffs, but Dallas is the exception to that rule.

And LeBron ain't gonna slow down. His endurance is part of what makes him special.

Joel Anthony on Dirk. Interesting decision. He can't guard him, but it saves Bosh & LeBron's legs.
