Jazz got decent return for him as well.
Yeah I know its just been a crazy last two weeks with Sloan and Johnson leaving and now D-Will. I wouldnt be surprised to see Okur or AK traded as well now.

I feel ya buddy, I feel ya! Was a little upset at first, but I'm coming around. Was a little bummed at first but as you said maybe we can get a someone for AK and Okur? maybe add in a pick? I dunno, a little shell shocked of what this season has become.

Maybe AK47s expiring for Steven Jackson and Gerald Wallace? They would fit in perfectly in Utah.

We signed him to a huge contract 5 years ago(I think). Back then he was looking to be a very good player. Then he kind of just flatlined and became inconsistent.

In other related news,
Jerry Sloan has trolled the entire Jazz organization and said "jk" to the whole retiring annoucement. He said now that punk ass williams kid is gone, he would like to resume coaching the Jazz. This keeps his 23 year coach streak alive and that the period of retirement will now be considered a hiatus to spend more time with his family. He will return to his coaching duties at the end of the week.

Deron Williams Found Out He Was Traded By Watching SportsCenter
Salt Lake Tribune beat writer Brian Smith reports that former Utah Jazz point guard Deron Williams didn't learn he had been traded to New Jersey until he saw it on SportsCenter while in the training room.
Teammates say Williams was stunned by the deal and is not happy to be leaving Utah.
That fact that Jazz didn't even give him or his agent a courtesy call gives some weight to the theory floated by some on Twitter that trading him to the Nets (and not the more talented Knicks) was punishment for Williams' treatment of coach Jerry Sloan.
Of course, that doesn't explain why they would let Sloan go at all if they were willing to dump their point guard. More likely that the Jazz saw the draft picks dangled in front of their face and didn't bother to think about it.

Kinda hard to believe trading him to the Nets instead of the Knicks was punishment. I mean who in the hell could the Knicks possibly trade for him. They gave up everything for Melo.

I keep hearing that the NBA is unfairly slanted in favor of large market teams, but maybe if teams like Utah & Orlando weren't grossly overpaying they'd have a better shot at winning titles.
Rashard Lewis = $20.5M in Washington
Michael Redd = $18.3M in Milwaukee
Andrei Kirilenko = $17.8M in Utah
Gilbert Arenas = $17.7M in Orlando
Vince Carter = $17.3M in Phoenix
Zach Randolph = $17.3M in Memphis
Kenyon Martin = $16M in Denver
