Warriors fans need to realize that we could do a lot worse than Bob Fitzgerald.

Think: Grant Napier, or the Blazers announcers *shudder*

Aww, I like Fitz. He grew on me.
Kevin Pritchard would be pretty good. As long as it isn't Dunleavy.
cant wait to see cryz's reaction if Larry Ellison is not the owner

Larry Ellison is close to acquiring the Warriors from the team's current owner, Chris Cohan, sources close to the negotiations said Tuesday night.

According to those sources, Ellison, CEO of Oracle Corp., outbid 24-Hour Fitness founder Mark Mastrov, among others. If the current deal is completed, Ellison would control 80 percent of the franchise, and incumbent minority owners Michael Marks, Jim Davidson, John Thompson and Fred Harman would retain their stakes.

I think Fitz sucks but who really cares. There are far more important things to worry about than who calls the game. I'm just anxious to get confirmation that Ellison has purchased the team.

Lacob was part of the potential ownership group that included Mandalay Entertainment's Peter Guber, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reported in late June.

One source said not to count out Lacob, but one would think that Ellison, listed as the sixth richest man in the world by Forbes Magazine, could end the bidding whenever he'd like.

Gimme Jim Durham, the guy that does the radio for the NBA playoffs. A great play-by-play guy.

Even before Al Harrington came off the market, they saw Anthony Tolliver as a viable alternative.

The Bulls, Lakers, Warriors, Jazz and Hawks are also interested in Tolliver.

Looks like Tolliver won't be coming back. I don't see us offering more $ than any of those other teams.

Warriors must not like people with the name "Anthony".

I was thinking the same thing. We got rid of all of them.

I would have liked to see the Warriors sign Tolliver. I thought he brought a lot of energy and production to the team last year. With Udoh down for 4-6 months I think he could fill that gap.

I would like to see him come back as well. I really like Tolliver.
Larry Riley on KNBR a couple days ago speaking on Monta:

He spoke with him recently and mentioned that Monta loved the moves the team has made in the offseason and can't wait to get back on the court and get the season rolling.

Looks like Monta really likes Riley.

I don't think Ellison would loose to anyone. He wasted a lot of time and resources already by not winning the bid would be a complete waste of his time. He will outbid anyone.
