this. I posted it as a joke. Evans has the potential to be better, he is a lebron james protoge. IMO

I think they are similar for some reason.

Wade
Second Tier
Duncan
Nowitski

Roy definitely belongs there. Although at this point I'd put both Melo & D12 in the 2nd tier and Duncan/Nowitzki in the 3rd.

KD is off the hook, but not in Lebron and Kobe's league. He is in that next tier down. I think he is better than Melo, and maybe the most natural scorer. The scary part is he is going to get a lot better. He might win a MVP one day.

I was a Sonics fan from way back in the Shawn Kemp/Gary Payton days - that decided to follow the Thunder in spite of the shady underhanded dealings of one Clay Bennett - so I have watched Durant grow for the last three years.
That said - LeBron and Kobe are all world! Durant will get there, but he isn't there yet. He deserves to be in the conversation for MVP based solely on what he means to that team, but he has no business winning that award this year. He'll get there, but it will be a couple more years.
PS - The Tyreke Evans comparison is insanity. What makes Durant who he is, is that there is no one in the league that can compare to him. 6-10/11 with handles and both long/midrange game is unheard of. Gets to the rack and is able to finish in a variety of ways...Dirk is his closest comparison, but Durant wins the ball handling category hands down. Put Evans on a team that isn't as terrible as the Kings and watch his production go down in every category. He will be very good, but Durant has the ability to be right there with Kobe and Lebron. Evans does not.

More championships, Durant or LeBron?
I knew KD would be great, but not this great this fast. Like LBJ he is a combo of size and skill set previously unseen. He already has better talent than LBJ had at this stage in his career. Still how does OKC vs Cleveland for the next decade sound? Not exactly the big market match ups the league would like.

when kobe gets old and retires David Stern will trade Kevin Durant to the Lakers for Adam Morrison and DJ Mbenga
