Just heard Fran Vasquez, the Magic's 2005 first round pick (11th) is finally coming to Orlando this summer. Not sure what capacity just yet though.

Wow they gave up a lot for him, a real good trade for the Nets..Vince Carter's getting really old now..

Yahoo Sports reported it as well.
Terrible trade IMO. It says on the yahoo article that the Nets would draft Terrence Williams with their pick. That won't happen if the Warriors select him with the 7th pick.

Not really, Alston was just a rental in the first place, Lee was very promising and really the only thing they gave up.

Not really, Alston was just a rental in the first place, Lee was very promising and really the only thing they gave up.
Already talking about this in the Magic offseason thread. Lee has promise, but only really the one iffy move. Battie's terrible contract is gone, and Alston wouldnt sit on the bench to be a backup. The Magic traded $15 mil in contracts for $16 mil.
The Magic get Vinny and Anderson, a rookie PF who has just as much potential as Lee had. Pietrus will be still be great as a backup SG for Vinny so this trade works.
With Magic owner Rick DeVos willing to pay the luxury tax now, Hedo would be stupid not to comeback to this team.
