His salary is already guaranteed for this season. Keep him around and probably cut him after this season.

Why is there no option for:
Because Baalke could have easily traded Kap, gained a draft pick, saved his salary $$$ AND would have been forced to draft a QB earlier. Maybe Lynch or Dak if he had any talent as a GM.
- Yes, and fire Baalke at the same time and promote Gamble to GM

No.
Keep him as the backup for now. Driskel is QB #3. Ponder is cut, but a phone call away if needed.

Cutting him gives him a chance for some other team drinking the cool-aid to pick him up and suck for them. Thereby increasing or chances of beating them.
Sitting him is less useful then cutting him. What if he fakes an injury during practice? Then we're out 15 more.

Baalke had a deal in place to trade Kaepernick. Kaepernick wouldnt take a paycut so the Broncos said no

Do whatever you have to do to get him off this team.

No he could have paid the Broncos or the Browns the difference from the savings he'd get from not paying Kap's salary. He would have gotten a draft pick and would have lost a QB. Forcing him to use picks earlier than the 6th for another guy.

After a couple weeks of watching Gabbert everyone will be wishing that Kaepernick was the starter all along. Right now I am just hoping gabbert breaks a leg of something so I don't have to watch him suck and people love him for it.

Cause as you can clearly see this team is not void of talent and will be competeing for titles within the next two years why would you fire the guy that is probly goimg to win gm of the year. Hey that would be a good thread title.

Make him inactive on game days. Once the season is over kick this chump out the door.
