Even if he does sign it won't be more than a low base salary with hardly any guaranteed money. But odds are you're right. We likely won't sign him.

I don't know what the timing of getting the Iupati extension signed, but, I know the FO doesn't want to waste any time in getting him secured for years to come.

Oh yes, totally agree. Not to mention, it doesn't help when the coaches are calling bone head plays... they too better watch it--can coaches be cut by June 1st

Goodwin, Whitner and Jennings are all REAL possibilities that would save us a ton THIS year. Rogers is viable as well but we won't save much for him this year. Next year, certainly.

There is no way in hell the 49ers would cut Goodwin with Kaepernick just being in his first full year as a QB. Kape needs Goodwin. And the 49ers needs a experience C to make another run for the superbowl. Why mess around with another Center. This is not the time.

Doubt it happens but if either Goodwin, Whitner or Jennings get cut it would probably be late in camp and we'd have to see if their backups are ready or not. Looney (Kilgore) with Goodwin, Kevin McDermott for Jennings and Robinson (or someone else) with Whitner. Seems like we are more intent on extending guys or re-structuring them then cutting anyone.
