Good luck to Alex if true. KC fans are delusional if they Geno Smith is going to be their savior.

This. They're bashing Alex Smith V1.0 while proclaiming 2.0 (Now in black) to be their savior.
Swap 2nds and gain a 3rd and I'm happy. Good luck kid and you will always have my respect.

I think you are going to be very disappointed. No chance KC would trade a future first for Smith. Come on ... they know the Niners cant keep Alex and that there arent many suitors. Why on earth would they give up that much,

I REALLY hope you are right. I just highly doubt it

Like i said, i predict atleast a second round value.

BUT, if we dont get anything this season, the value goes up.

I have firmly predicted a second round value since the begining of this converastion. I stand by that.

This
Somehow we will end up losing a draft pick again for breaking rules trading a player b4 we were able to!

And I have been saying from Day 1 that the best the Niners would get is a 3rd. I stand by that.

Im saying if its a pick swap, the amount of value in the swap will atleast equal out to a second round value on the chart.

If we dont get any picks this year, than you better beleive we are probably getting a 1st rounder next season.

If its picks this year its atleast something that reaches second round value.

What that will look like is anyones guess. Swap seconds, and then you guys throw in additional picks, third round this year, second next year, who knows, but the value will be atleast second round value.

A second round pick is a pretty big deal. Remember, it doesn't matter how good Smith is, nor does it matter what he deserves. All that matters is whether or not teams are competing against each other for him. If only the Chiefs want him, all they have to do is wait until free agency hits and then outbid other teams for him.

Any trade for Smith is essentially an issue of how much money he is worth next season. If his salary is a bargain, than that increases the desire to offer a better pick.

It's possible that the 49ers have actually convinced teams that they are willing to keep Smith next season. That would provide more leverage, and maybe give us a chance at a 2nd round pick, but I can't imagine any team truly buying that story.

@DougBaldwinJr So Alex Smith was considered a bust before Harbaugh got to San Fran, now he's a top QB option… Hmm, lets use deductive reasoning…

f**k the seahawks and their dirty players.
Do these f**kers inject there steroids in there tiny brains

So is he saying Harbaugh is a great coach? Thanks Doug, and this whole time I thought you hated Harbaugh.

LMAO. Pete Carol interviewing a Stanford player:

Pete the cheat: "Do you hate Jim Harbaugh?"
If he says yes they draft him, if he says anything else they pass.

There's no tampering. You can talk all you want. That's what you do at events like the combine. There is absolutely no harm in having a deal worked out. Just can't execute it until the new league year. That's not tampering.

Tampering is when you talk to a player who is not under contract with your team, or without that team's permission. No foul here.

I hope your right. I thought no way last time with the Chicago bullshiz. I was wrong
It'll be a 3rd next year if Alex reaches the Playoffs and a 4th if not. But it'll be a 2014 pick I would guess

We'd better get at least a 3rd and I hope we get a second. A 4th is not acceptable!

something is better than nothing

Oh no it's not. I would have rather had nothing than f**kin Brandon Whiting for Terrell Owens. At least we wouldn't have had to pay that scrub Whiting. Worst trade ever.

we got a 5th rd pick and Whiting for a player that was a free agent. (better than nothing)

you would rather have AS cut and get nothing or a 3rd?

Well obviously a 3rd... but if given a choice of either having Brandon Whiting or not having Brandon Whiting I would choose to not have Brandon Whiting. lol. You're right though something is better than nothing, but sometimes the something that you get is complete trash and waste a roster spot and you have to pay for that trash. Anyways, Alex is at least worth a 3rd.

So GOAT #2 goes to the Cheifs
Now GOAT #1 is going to the Cheifs

The complete similarities, and alikeness of the two are getting even more astonishing by the moment.
