Better team lost no doubt which is upsetting, but that's what happens when you turn the ball over and allow run backs on special teams

kap should have made the play but didn't. I bet he uses this as a learning point and comes back even better next year.

It's pointless to engage in that type of second-guessing. It's really easy after the fact to look at game film and say this guy was open here or that guy was open there. But the Ravens were sending cover 0 blitzes in order to hurry the throws. The QB in that situation has to quickly get rid of the ball and doesn't have time to scan the field. I just thought the play calls were not the best to counter the cover 0 blitz.

The rollout wasn't too bad since it was away from the blitz and gave Kaep the choice to run or pass. It just didn't work like we designed it to.

And why are people solely blaming Roman? Harbaugh is equally culpable.

I think the special team TD given up did them in. Coming back down 15 is one thing but 22 is tough but they almost did it. Also after the Rice fumble all the shots downfield. VD was open in the middle for a first but he wasn't targeted. I know Collin would like to have that one back as well as a couple others. All in all this team is tough as Nails and believes in themselves. The defense was exposed in the playoffs though. If not for Kaep we dont beat GB never the Less Atlanta. Go Niners!!

Maybe a reason, maybe not.

Roman outsmarted himself in the clutch this game just like he has all season, but he is still better than anyone out there. Give him a full offseason with Kaep, and this offense will be a well oiled machine.

Think about the potential, Kaep was playing in a growing offense.. Hell how many "play actions" had the QB handing the ball one way while the RB ran off the opposite way. This is the sloppiest the offense will look and it was just 5 yards away from a ring. The entire coaching staff and at least 17 of 22 starters are coming back next year. This team has taken its place among perennial Super Bowl contenders,

The defense in the first half gets the blame. It's been suspect the whole playoffs. You can't expect the offense to keep digging out of a hole every game and win.
