Can't see all qb-hungry teams acting in unison. They have so few options this year. If the team are forced to release him, it's open season. One of them will want to make sure they pick up the best available qb this year.

Yes, by all means feel better for yourself for being right in the qb situation right? You were proved correct? You feel good that the guy you want is staying but lost our only Superbowl? Strange but okay.

No, I'm happy that the quarterback that was able to make it past the conference championship game is staying and the one that was holding the offense back from taking the next step is moving on.

Perhaps the bad plays of early years gave you the non-confidence, but Smith has done well the last two years. The throws in the games against the Eagles, Lions, Saints were very clutch.

The name alex smith needs to become a dirty word in the zone. The quicker this guy is shipped out the better.he's a cancer in the zone and more importantly on this team!

I wish Alex the best. As stated yesterday, a win without.a major contribution by Alex would seem a bit incomplete. He held this team together through the lockout, coordinating practices, flying guys out on his dime, having dudes stay over at his house. The guy was here through the bad days. Too bad he didn't get a chance to get a ring before going to a dog team.

Not gonna say that Kap played a perfect game, no he definitely made mistakes and is as much to blame for the loss as the rest of the team. But you make it sound like he was the only factor, which was definitely not the case here.

I do wish Alex the best of luck wherever he ends up (please god not the Jets), it'll be weird seeing him wear a different uniform, that's for sure.

Anyone see at the very end right before they cut to the trophy presentation I think Ed Redd came up to Alex and said something like "Hey man what ever team you go to next year...." then it cut to commercial break. Wonder what was said.
