49ers sign Billy Cundiff

Another no balls move by Harbaugh.

Waste a roster spot to carry an extra kicker? For what? To light a fire under Akers? If Akers is hurt (which I think is the problem)...put him on IR and sign a new guy. If Akers has just lost it, cut him and sign the new guy.

Or just go to Akers and tell him..."I have faith you'll get it together".

i dont see it as a waste. bahktiari was released, unless someone picks him up before our next game we can always cut a kicker and refill the roster spot with him. this allows both to practice until game time and determine which way you'll go. i dont see 2 kickers active for the game.

Why not go after Rackers? Or Kasay? Or anyone else...Cundiff isn't good.

We don't need five OLB's anymore than we need two kickers.

What happened to the kicker with the Italian name the 49ers had during the preseason? He could kick 70 yarders.
