Unfortunately without an effective Justin Smith, the 49er's will have a tough time with Aaron Rodgers. Jean La Phew (whatever his name is) is not going to be very effective in the playoffs. He needs more time to develop.
The defense as a whole needs to step up.
I think there is a lot of media hype pumping up GB and Aaron Rodgers. IMHO, GB is not a terribly good football team this year, especially away from Lambeau field. They are 4-4 away from Lambeau and 4-5 against winning teams. Their offense collapses when faced with a physical team that can rush the passer like NYG or Seattle.
Aaron Rodgers can pick you apart, but not if he is running for his life the whole game. GB's O-Line is porous and has actually gotten worse since the beginning of the year, lots of discontinuity there. A-Rod is the 2nd most sacked QB in the NFL for a reason, he holds on to the ball too long as he tries to make something happen. He won't throw the ball away when under pressure b/c they have no other way to gain short yardage, their running game is a joke.
Even teams w/o a great pass rush have been able to sack A-Rod b/c most of his sacks do not come from the initial pass rush, they come later in the play when A-Rod is scrambling to buy time. You do not need Justin Smith's double-hold move to get to this guy. All you need are a pair of DEs/OLBs with high motors who will not give up the pursuit. Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks should be enough as long as they are relentless.
I don't understand why some people are so worried. A-Rod is only a magician against teams that let him take his sweet time carving up the secondary. This is the best possible scenario for SF, getting a team you match up well with at home after a bye. As long as SF is really physical on both sides of the ball and does not turn the ball over, they should be able to wear GB down and run the ball down their throats in the second half.

I am getting ready to invade the Bay! Flying out in about 6 hours.
One thing I am sure we can all agree on - A playoff loss would hurt me as a Packer fanatic and you all as 49ers fans, but if those pricks from Seattle make the bowl game and more it would make you physically sick.
It wasn't the Fail Mary. It was a combination of steroids, that douchebag Richard Sherman, running up the score against the worst teams in the league and most of all:-
The blatant stupidity and "hurr durr we are the best team evah!" mentality of the average Seasquawk fan.
So, even if the 49ers win, the pill won't be bitter. Only if the Seahawks progress would I be upset. I would never wish an injury upon a player, but I sure hope Marshawn Lynch get's that offensive grill knocked out of place.

We are here, not scared, just ready to accept whatever it is that comes our way because truth be told
No one knows.
Nobody knows how the game will go. I'll tell you that for nothing. In 2010, I didn't think we'd win the Superbowl, in 2011, I thought it was a foregone conclusion.
You just, never know. Especially at this time of year.

True, dat. Lets have a good game and no injuries. Whoever wins I will be cheering for them to beat Seattle.

My penis has really been tingling heavily with the game getting so close. I'm feeling a Niners win, 28-16.

Me either, but i think i want to make an exception for Richard Sherman. That guy is not only dirty on the field, but a completely disrespectful douchbag off the field.

Niners 42 - 17
17? so Crosby will only be kicking one "3"? lol

I thought I hated all packer fans, but your post makes me like you. Here's to the winner beating down on the seahawks.

Isn't Byan Baluaga out? That would seem to me to make Ahmad Brooks the not-so-obvious X-Factor on defense. Here's hoping he can disrupt Rodgers.

Eagles, falcons, bears... What does this have to do with anything? Those were the road opponents for the packers when they won it all. They didn't have to travel far from home at all that postseason. They got lucky... Not so lucky this time.

Ahh! Refreshing too know other fanbases hate Dick Shermhead as much as ours.
