Can someone tell me what the heck this means?

No Goodwin is more likely to lose his job. He's been serviceable, but nothing that can't easily be replaced. Kilgore has been performing pretty well in the Boone role as the extra lineman and I think either he or Looney take Goodwin's job next year.
I think a lot of it comes down to offensive scheme. Our QB's are clearly taught to take a sack rather than risk throwing an interception which inflates the sack rate. Also, it seems like there are a number of sacks caused by blown assignments/ guys running untouched right through the line etc. That's a play design/play-calling issue more than anything.
I think our line is an average pass-blocking unit but the numbers make them look worse than they really are because of the above reasons.

No. Their big board was leaked. They also had a first round grade on bowman.
And? I dont care how Dallas ranks players. I doubt there were many teams that had a 3rd round grade or higher on Culliver. I bet no team thought about drafting Bruce Miller and converting him to a fullback. How many teams would have taken Aldon Smith with the #7 pick?

Wow, I don't really see Anthony playing bad at all. Goodwin either. I think the entire line is doing pretty well. I think some are being a bit too critical. I guess if Mike I. has a couple of false starts and a holding plenty Sunday, he will need to get cut by next game. My goodness, ease up a little.

So Profootballweekly says AD has surrendered 10 sacks which is fine by me considering he had surrendered 6 all season up until last week against Cameron Wake, one of the top pass rushers in the league the last few years.
Joe Staley gave up 3 sacks to Clay Matthews in week 1 and has only given up 3 since then.
Everyone has a bad day and if AD has improved to only allowing 6 sacks over 12 weeks(before allowing 4 against Wake) then I'm inclined to give him a break especially considering he is our least penalized linemen this season.

6 + 4 = 10

The fact that the Cowboys gave him a C grade does nothing to solidify your argument imo.

no s**t thats what I said. Everyone is entitled to bad day. AD has drastically improved in pass protection, way to jump down his throat after 1 bad game.

Perhaps you did not watch the draft?? The niners had pick 13, they traded a pick to move UP two spots to number 11 to get Anthondy Davis. All of the commentators where scratching their heads, no team at 11 or 12 was targeting an OT.
What kills me is the Niners could have stayed at 13 and grabbed Earl Thomas.......

Looking at film, it appears that Anthony Davis is the weak link on offense. We are dead last in adjusted sack rate, and much of that falls on Davis.
I would not be surprised if Boone takes his RT job in camp, with Davis being kicked inside, or Davis losing his starting role entirely with Looney getting in there.
when you're dead last, it can't get any worse...
OK Mike Singletary..
Anthony Davis is having a GREAT year
man you make some terrible threads.

Maybe we traded up to 11 because they had heard a rumor that a team was trying to trade up to 12 to get Davis. That is how trades work, just because one of those teams(specifically the team we leap frogged didnt want an OT doesn't mean another team wasn't trying to trade with the team at 12 to get AD.....

Davis is still a kid and has improved dramatically since he started with us. Smith took sacks, rather than chance a pick, so the stats need to be looked at with that in mind.

I like Anthony Davis.....I think our O-line is great, with the exception with Goodwin....
