I remember during the Mariucci years it was always the Packers and Falcons that bounced us from the playoffs. (except that Buccs that one year)

lolz at the people who are still bitter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1998: Falcons>49ers
And for those who said that the niners would've beaten the Vikings in Minn?
And we weren't sure as hell beat the Broncos that year in the SB.
1997, yes! But not 1998.

Anything can happen once a team gets to the SB, and the fact that we are 5-0, going into a SB in 97 or 98, who knows, history could've possibly been on our side!

Do you guys remember Merton Hanks wanting none of Jamal Anderson and pretty much "olay's" his ass into the endzone at like the 5 yd line in one game.

If I had to choose, I honestly don't want to face the Giants again AT ALL in the playoffs. Too much at stake regardless if we all think we should win that game. Call me crazy, but I'd much rather have the Packers, Seahawks, Bears, Bucs at home and then travel to Atlanta for the NFC Champ game.
If we do somehow get the NFC Champ game at home a second year in a row against the Giants, there is no excuse for a L, and what'll happen if Kaep is still the starter and FAILS????? Webzone gonna go BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

That would actually be the easier route, BUT if the Niners don't beat the vagiants a.k.a "the luckiest team in all sports", their fan base will always say the Niners didn't beat THEM. I want Kap or Smith to embarrass them in the playoffs.

Wow.....denial isn't just a river in Egypt. We certainly would of beaten the falcons at their home. We lost by 2.....I repeat 2 points without Hearst and Bryant young. Yeah right that isn't a 2 point swing. We were better than the falcons sorry to burst your bubble.
And as far as the Vikings.....yeah that team with a horrible defense.....Steve young and our we core could of carved them up worse than stl did. Young is a lot better than chandler sorry again to burst your bubble.
Lastly, we were a better team than the broncos too. No explanation is really necessary

I've been Feeling the same way. They have the all the tools on offense to make it a very long game for our D. I think this is going to finally be the year the Falcons make it past the divisional round and into the NFCC. And if they do Colin Kaepernick will have a very noisy dome to get past... Which he's proven he can with some help from the team of course. But I think it would be another level of intensity then what he witnessed at the Super dome. Of course this is assuming we and they get a first round bye and make it past the other NFC teams aka the giants, packers, or bears (on that note it is possible for the Vikings to make it in with a 3rd place in their division or would it go to the next second place finisher?). In the fairness of competition throughout the league I'm hoping for the former. Thanks whoever answers.

Lambs are a joke.
Last game? Fluke.
Expect Kaepernick to plow them. It's over by halftime.

He was just protecting his neck. You know how valuable that thing is to the turkey dance.

You naive poor fan. I'm a huge fan let's face facts. The broncos were the best team that year followed by Minn. While anything can happen on any given sunday but THERE'S NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT THE NINERS WOULD'VE BEATEN THAT 1998 VIKINGS TEAM AT THEIR PLACE.
However, I still think that the 97 team would've won their 6th if it wasn't for those pesky packers.

Regardless, if the Niners beat the Giants in any round of the playoffs I will be on cloud nine.
