We are going to have to do a lot of wheeling and dealing because we certainly cannot draft 14 guys this year.

Wow. Didn't even remember that. We are like the gingerbread man right now, we are overflowing and other teams are going to be picking at our crumbs for years.

Think about it. Even if we had 10 first round draft picks next year, where would they play???
Maybe starting C, backup WR, backup OLB, backup QB?

Teams will try to hire the Niners front office guys just like they did back in the day.

Wow we have a lot of picks to play around with. I would have to assume we package some up and make a power move to grab a guy or two we really like.

I also think we have to draft DL early to get somebody to replace Justin.

the beauty of it though, the org is just like it was then. they will reward them and treat them well making them want to stay.

Hope so.
Baalke might even trade some of the picks for the following year's draft [2014]

The man is a shrewd dude. Very impressive Trent!

I wouldn't mind if he traded some 5's or 6's next year for a round higher in 2014. We won't have room for like 13 guys. Also, I kind of want to keep the 1, 2, 3, 3, but the extra 4, 5, 6, 7s wouldn't mind trading up. Problem is not many want a bunch of 6s and 7s for 5s or 5s and 6s for 4s. Probably could use our extra 5th, 6th and 7th or so to get a late 4th. I guess it probably isn't worth it though. Might be better off with more lottery tickets to hit the jackpot on one than gambling with 3-4 picks for 1 guy. Might just take 13 guys and see how the cards fall. Best guys make the roster and then the PS. Might end up with a loaded PS but not sure how much good it does if everyone is going to come in and take our guys.

There are always some gems in the last few [5-7] rounds - Miller comes to mind.

Still, moving up or trading for futures like the Pats do is a good thing.

man that is a great article. Our team is set for the long term future.

Its good to be niner fans again.
A lot of the Bleacher Report articles are poorly written, even amateurish, but this one was pretty good and right on the money. However, the verdict is out on the 2012 draft class, especially since our top two picks have yet to even dress for the games. Apparently, that will change very soon!
