All the Alex critics have their points but Alex is Alex and sure, going to Thanksgiving dinner and being served parakeet instead of turkey is disappointing but at least you got the bird.
We are ranked 21st in yards per attempt. 6.9.

We are NOT a balanced team in terms of balance of strength between passing and running a quarter into the season.

Pass Attempts per game: 28.5
Rushes per game: 30.8

Passing Yards per game: 179.2
Rushing Yards per game: 167.0

The 10th ranked team averages 7.7 yards per pass attempt. The 15th rank passing team averages 7.3 yards per pass attempt.

Just because our attempts are balanced does not make us a balanced team. Better defenses will not fear our passing game. And one can't say we will light it up that game because we did not do that vs MIN. We are a run-first team. When things went bad (MIN game) we reverted back to running the ball (NYJ game).

Good thing we don't have to play our own defense, but if we have to play a strong run defense that can not be stupid vs the pass, then a win will not be easy and a loss is probably the outcome of the game.

LOL...where there's a zone...

There you go.... negative from 0 to 60 seconds.

Even Matt Barrows said "In fact, from the reaction of some fans, you'd have thought he was on the losing end of the 34-0 score"

This.

I hate the punks. Wish they would just get out and find another team.

How can you be "balanced" when you are ranked 30th in passing yards? Passing yards aren't the end all be all, but they are a sign of production and the ability to move the ball through the air. We should at least be middle of the pack, even with a 3rd ranked rushing attack. Something is clearly wrong.

As is everything else, it is all about perspective.

We are balanced in terms of attempts. We are nearly balanced in terms of yards per play between rushing and passing.

We are definitely not balanced in terms of the strength of our rushing compared to the strength of our passing.
Here we go again.

So we're up 20something to ZERO late in the second half and your geniuses think we should be airing it out.

In other games we are dominating (except one) with a balanced attack, no matter the yards in the air, and you think we should throw that game plan in the gutter because you're not freaking happy we don't have Tony Romo firing off yards in the air.

Never mind his game losing 5 picks last night.

What will we ever do without you Alex Smith hating geniuses?

You realize I said 30th right? As in almost dead last...

Just completly unacceptable.

In yards per attempt, we are 21st which is still not acceptable when we primarily focused on improving our WR personnel.
When the 49ers were winning in the 80's running the ball more than passing he kept running and running and running. And running.
I meant Bill Walsh of course.

So basically we arent attempting very often and when we do, they are safe short to mid rang passes, like how we love to use the sideline to protect the ball..

Our passing game isn't that good at this point...again.

That's what I get for using an unreliable source....I got it from the Zone . I'm not sure why there is a difference.
