Sounds right! Though I think English hit it with the notion that it should be a coach and scheme discussion. The Vikings game seemed to be an attempt to go away from the prior run first trend but the team was not up to it. If they had run and tired out the DLine a bit first the pass blocking might have been better.
We are seeing a renaissance of athletic D Linemen and OLBs on many teams. To the extent that a team like Houston can lose a great D Linemen and still create great pressure.

A new head coach. Harbaugh likes to run the ball and throw efficient passes. Alex will stick to the blueprint and keep it safe. Kaepernick likes to fire the ball down the field, but he's not getting the start anytime soon.

its jim harbaughs philosophy
hes a ball control coach this was before 49ers even when coaching in college
his offense consisted of a strong run game and ball control offense
only way we become a pass heavy team is if harbaugh looses his job and i dont see that happening

Harbaugh's style is power running. It was in Stanford and it has been so far in the NFL and I doubt it'll change because of the success he's had

Agreed. That said, we have been a passing-first team coming out of the gates the first three weeks. The Vikings were the only team to stop us and take the lead before us.

How about stop complaining about it. You hate running the ball that much, then go become a fan of the Lions or Saints. They throw the ball 300+ yards every game, seem to have a whole lot to show for it.
