Kendricks entered the NFL as a second-round draft pick (45th overall) out of UCLA in 2015, selected by the Minnesota Vikings. He spent the first eight seasons of his career in Minnesota, becoming the franchise's all-time leading tackler among linebackers. Following his tenure with the Vikings, Kendricks played for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023 and the Dallas Cowboys in 2024.
Kendricks joined the San Francisco 49ers on November 26, 2025, initially signing to the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in early January. During the 2025 regular season, he appeared in three games, including one start, and recorded six total tackles.
He started both of the 49ers' postseason games, notably recording 10 tackles, including two for loss, in the team's Wild Card Round victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Over 11 NFL seasons, Kendricks has appeared in 150 regular-season games, totaling 1,180 tackles, 21.5 sacks, 11 interceptions, and 60 passes defensed. His career honors include a first-team All-Pro selection and a Pro Bowl selection in 2019. Kendricks was also named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2015.
