Growing up in my house love for any other team simply did not occur to me.

45-14 against the Cowboys during the regular season 1981 against the Cowboys
I knew then that Dwight Hicks and the Hot Licks were for real
I was 13
I was 20 years of Bliss
Followed by 10 years of Piss
Now, we are back to the bliss years

Born in San Francisco. But didn't grow up there. There is no other feeling I get while watching any other team than I get when I watch the San Francisco 49ers. No other feeling. Couldn't ever ever imagine rooting for any different team. Was never any particular moment I realized, "hey, im gonna be a niner fan now". Been one as far as I can remember. Pictures of me 5 years old wearing 49er sweat shirts. Don't even remember. But, yeah, love me some 49ers.

First memory ever was watching John Taylor catch the winning pass from Montanta. I was 7. Been watching the niners ever since. We were always good so its been really tough to understand what the f**k is going on and how to rebuild.

was like a second father to me when i was a kid.....looked up to him sooo much. Every time he spoke, he had my undivided attention. Cried with him when he lost his son. That was a sad time.

For real man....to me as a kid, everything he said was like Gospel. There was just something about him.
In all of football, these two were my favorite personalities. I can listen them speak ALL Day.
if anyone here hasn't caught the NFL Network's special on Ed Sabol, please watch it. "A Football Life: Ed Sabol"

Born raised and lived in NJ virtually my whole life, except for brief stints in long island NY and Santa Monica. Been hooked since 1992, age 7. Friend around corner rooted for them and I followed suite cuz I didnt want to be a Giants fan. Official obsession grew from there. Rice, Young etc. Been to SF 5 times for games, including the Saints game last yr which I still can't believe. As others said, I just don't feel remotely the same watching other teams. The Niners ARE the NFL to me. Looking to move out to SF with my girlfriend soon because I love the city.
