Ted Ginn Jr. could be in danger of being cut.

It was a torn meniscus that put Ginn out of the playoffs and I think they're just being cautious. As long as he's healthy I think he'll make the 53 man and Roman will put in a few speed plays for him, but his touches should definitely be reduced.

Mario Manningham and Ted Ginn Jr.
But I think both guys will make the roster.
what makes u think manningham would be cut?

Before they even think of cutting Ginn they need to watch film of Arnaz Battle returning punts.

THIS. I'm telling you now, there's no way Ginn gets cut. His success in the return game is partially responsible for several of the 49ers wins.
They keep six if they have to. If Ginn is healthy, there's no way he gets cut.

Ya, they should cut Ted Ginn and have Kyle Williams return punts. That worked out well in the past.....

Ginn won games for us by himself and we would probably be the champs had he stayed healthy we can't lose him!

Yah Mon, Teddy Ginn is our 1st legit returner since...well forever. He's part of the ST roster than helped us win games. No way he gets cut.
BTW - did LMJ return kicks/punts in college, think he's an option for this duty?

Anyone with some speed can return kicks. Returning punts is very specialized, and Ginn is an expert in that craft. Cutting him and hoping someone fills that spot in is extremely foolish. We lost out on a Super Bowl because we didnt have Ginn. Harbaugh and co. are smart enough to know hes extremely important. Thats why he was brought back.

Ginn just needs to accept his role as a full time return man. He doesn't hold much value at WR.

I said I think both guys will make the team, but from the standpoint of providing something to the team, I think Manningham doesn't have a specific toolset that differentiates himself from the rest of the guys.
Moss - Size, speed, athleticism, experience - LOCK
Crabtree - Hands, knowledge in the system, blocking - LOCK
Williams - Speed, acceleration, quickness, potential PR / KR - ROSTER SPOT UP IN THE AIR
Jenkins - Speed, plus he's a 1st round pick - has to make the roster - LOCK
Manningham - Speed, experience, $$ - PROBABLY ON ROSTER
Ginn Jr. - Speed, elite PR / KR - ROSTER SPOT UP IN THE AIR

Manningham's entire salary in 2012 is guaranteed, I doubt he is cut.
Ginn being cut makes no sense, I don't trust Williams at all, and Perrish Cox is unproven. Just keep Ginn, he has a reasonable salary. If anyone is gone it's Kyle Williams.

Good Call AB!
Didn't know that. Then yes, Manningham is essentially a lock!

Very tough call - glad JH will be making it.
It'll be really tough in training camp. JH is a performance guy and it will boil down to that.
This should be fun
