I also see Matt Millen as an embarrassment when he said he would always be a Raider after winning a Super Bowl in SF. Then there is Lawrence Phillips. Many of you are too young to remember when had an over the hill O.J. Simpson. I can't think of anyone else.
Romanoski never did anything bad as a niner it was after that he turned looney so not really ashamed as you put it. don't know why you are hard on Millen, almost his entire career was with the Raiders. Just like Joe or Jerry.
OJ maybe if you are basing on what he did later. Phillips was just bad head case and the brass made a bad choice of bringing him in. So for me, it is what are you basing shame on. If they were bad as players, then I would be more ashamed of the coaches and GM. Look at Singletary, stubborn old fool that was closed minded and wasn't head coach material. How about Joe Thomas? Debartolo brought him in when the niners were mid level team and they stunk it up by trading away the future for a washed OJ and we went further south. However, everything has a reason-if not for Thomas we would not have gotten Walsh.
