If Moss "plays when he wants to play" and has something left (I think yes on both) it's this.
1) Moss
2) Crabtree
3) AJ Jenkins
4) Manningham
5) Williams
6) Ginn (KR / PR) - he's super elite at that. And yes we need him.
By seasons end I could see this.
1) Moss
2) AJ Jenkins
3) Crabtree
4) Manningham
5) Williams
6) Ginn (KR / PR)
If Moss "doesn't want to play or gives up on the team" (real possibilities) then resort the order without him. Same order minus Moss.

1. Crabtree
2. Manningham
3. Moss
4. Jenkins
5. Ginn
6. Williams '
Moss is the wildcard obviously, but I'll slot him here for now. He could move up on this list very easily of course. He could also end up the #4 receiver and be a situational player. But #4 is the lowest he could go imo, if he's not good enough to crack the top 4 I don't think he makes the team at all.

I'd still put Crabtree at #1 because he will probably see the most snaps on offense out of all the WR's.

Yup. Crabtree is the #1 and will see the most action. I think Moss and Manningham will spit time at the #2 and #3 spots. Mix in some Jenkins and whoever else every now and then.

Difference was Morgan was a 6th round pick, Crabs was top 10 and has made a fortune. Morgan was too pricey for our taste, Washington overpaid so Trent needed to let him walk.
Crabs was the best WR out of Williams, Ginn, Swain, and Hastings.....not impressed.

Guys like Hastings, Swain are gone. K Williams will have a hard time making this team if Moss does.. Crabtree is #1 or #2 depending on how Moss goes. No lower than that.
AJJ I doubt see's the field very much this coming season honestly. Manningham is probably #2 or 3 worthy but I'm not high on him at all...
The crabtree hate is just insane. Drop him to a 4th on the depth chart below kyle williams, thats nuts

is manningham truly that good tho? Honestly, Jenkins will outplay Manningham. but Crabs is no doubt the #1, he's better than ppl give him credit for but truly if he doesnt do well, he's kinda the odd man out come trade deadline for the simple fact that he's the only WR with trade value since everyone else is new or resigned and nobody will trade for KW. Jenkins is the future, hence why he was drafted number one, making Crabs expendable. but thats only worst case scenario. Aside from that, the depth chart should be:
#1 Crabtree
#2Manningham/Moss
#3Jenkins/Williams
#4Ginn/ James(all purpose)
by this I mean its less about the depth order and more about the formation and play being called. Every analyst and sports pro says that Crabtree needs to be the Flanker, thats what he's good at. He will produce with the defense having more players worry about. If im seeing V.Davis running a wheel route and Moss running a fade, Crabs is the last person im thinking about. Catch 22 now you have fresh speed legs with Jenkins and Williams. we even have ginn and james to run the fly sweep.thats my best case scenario. pumped for this season
im getting off topic, anyways, Crabtree will remain our #1 until someone beats him out of the job, simple as that

If Mike shows up early and practices hard, then we see which WR gets the most playing time opposite of him. If Moss is in great shape and impresses in camp? Then:
1. Randy Moss
2. Mike Crabtree
3. becomes a battle between Manningham, Kyle W, Ginn, and A.J.J.
I think we will keep 6 WRs, but obviously, each will have to impress enough to earn a spot.
My sentiments exactly. Crabs certainly doesn't endear himself to the fans and media because of his diva-like behaviour, but talent wise, I think he could come up with the goods, if he would just apply himself. Kyle and Ginn are to be considered only because of their return skills. I'd love to see Moss throw his body around blocking down field after AJ catches a wobbly, under thrown pass from Alex.
