Missing WR's

How long has Morgan (and Edwards) and what did our GM and coaches do to fill the void?

For all the draft praise and FA finds, this management team failed in the end.
Imagine how good they would be if we had Eli as our qb! Face it guys, Alex is an avg to below avg nfl qb and those don't win Super Bowls. we may need a wr but the reality is NY had ONE wr threat tonight, and he didnt have any catches in the 2nd half. Nicks had a whooping 5 catches and Manningham had 1. Manning made multiple plays tonight. maybe its the play calling, maybe the coaches dont trust alex but whatever the case its not just he wrs.

Are you serious? Alex put up 17 points with Vernon Davis being his only threat on offense. 2 yards.....2 yards is what we got out of our WR's. Sorry Alex worked a damn miracle!

Covering all three NYG WR is the problem. Nicks/Cruz/Manningham is simply too many weapons to keep down all game. SF has Davis and..... *crickets chirping*. And Smith was still able to hit Davis for two TDs. Crabtree may work better with some complimentary WRs, but WE NEED THOSE COMPLIMENTARY WRs!

Smith had a poor game, but he had a very good season and a great game last week. He needs more weapons, an offseason with Harbaugh, and he'll be just fine.

Besides... where's the available QB that's better than Smith this offseason when you're drafting 30th? (and Peyton is coming off three neck surgeries and is past his prime - no thank you.)

Smith is the best FA QB on the market.

Crabtree is a #10 overall pick that held out for more money. Sorry but you're ass had better step up when needed not disappear.
cut him, that is all.................
Im very serious. Alex is avg and we all know it. you cant say that he isn't. Hes not bad but hes not great either. we took away Elis best option and he still played great. he founds guys and threw balls that alex wold never throw. Namr the last avg qb to win a superbowl not named Dilfer?

Eli played great? Eli's best target in the second half was Bradshaw on checkdowns. Eli couldn't do jack s**t in the 2nd half. Guess you were to drunk on your haterade to pay attention to the actually game.
I still think it was a big mistake to release Edwards when we did. Granted he was hurt but i would rather have had him than Swain!

BS, Defense did pretty damn good, it was Willlams 2 fumbles that cost the Niners the game and our 6th Super Bowl Ring... Think about that for a damn second man...
Ask 49er fans what the problem is, "Its the WR's".

Ask any other fan of any other team in the league what the problem is, they'll say something different.

Edwards was completely useless due to his injuries. He wouldn't have made a difference, the guy couldn't get open all year long. That was the big problem today, receivers not getting open.
