I thought this would be fun for all niners fans esp for us old timers. Tuesday Jan 10th is the 30th birthday of the catch. we all know the historical significance of it but I was wondering where you were when it happened?Were you alive, were you at the game? were you watching on tv? i was stranded in a snow storm in fort dodge iowa with a bunch of buddies who were just football fans. I was 21 about to turn 22 and to this day it is hard to describe the feeling i had. It was like the stench of the joe thomas and oj simpson era had just vanished in one crazy moment. feel free to have at it!

reading some of these stories is so awesome. i wasnt born yet but it got me reminiscing about the TO catch against the packers when i was a kid and the emotions i had after that

30 years ago, hell, I'm lucky to remember 30 minutes ago. I would have been 32 at the time with a birthday coming up at the end of the week. Best damn birthday present ever, especially given how many years the Cowpies had pissed me off.

I was ten years old ,was a fan because my friends at school told me I had to pick a football team decided on the niners when they drafted Montana ,hence the reasoning my name is Joe and I am from Montana .Plus my grandfather lived is San Bruno from 1949 till he passed away Watched the game by myself my dad was never a football fan. I just remember screaming and my mom came running in to see if I was ok . Been a fan ever since through thick and thin and always will

Man 30 years ago, I was all about the ladies. I was into the chicks too much to watch football; but I'll tell you what. That was the best 3rd grade ever...

I was sitting around, reflecting on a wonderful 4-12 season by the Saints. I remember thinking,"man, I bet there is a 2 year old in Texas somewhere that is gonna grow up and lead us to a Superbowl in 2010, 2012,20..,"
