I guess it's a lot to ask. And there is certainly risk. But I'm just saying. Maybe you could put a huge facemask that comes a lot lower and a double chin strap to hold it on real good. I'm just guessing maybe it's possible. Maybe it's too risky and impossible. And I certainly wouldn't blame somebody if they couldn't play under that circumstance.
No offense, but that would be a stupid and possibly life threatening thing to do. I broke my jaw when I was a teenager due to a bicycling accident and had to have my jaw wired shut for 6 weeks. I only weighed about 140 and lost 15 pounds. I also had to wear surgical scissors around my neck and my family and friends were instructed on how to cut my jaw open in case I started vomiting for any reason. Also, due to the way my teeth line up, I had to due 90% of my breathing through my nose. If I then sustained a broken or bloody nose for any reason, I could have had severe breathing issues. Then there are the nutritional issues because you're on a liquid diet. I was definitely weaker than if I'd had a normal diet. Considering all of these factors, I doubt he'd even get medical clearance to play with his jaw wired shut.
