If we don't get stuffed on 4 straight carries at the 1 the final score would have been 27- 10. Maybe, you ought to complain about the O- line blocking down inside the 1 instead?

What's the point of a talent like that if you don't even use him? This is a guy who had 965 yards and 13 TD's with sub par QB's and sub par O Lines. I don't get that we don't use him more. Screw Crabtree and Braylon when he gets back and Delanie. Get the ball to VD!
This league and the Super Bowl are won with WRs not TEs. Who gives a hoot if VD catches 1 pass the next 5 games so long as we win every single game.
I care. He can be more productive. And so can our offense.

My complaint there is not taking the field goal. You have 1st, 2nd and 3rd down to make it. If you can't make it take the 3. It should have been 23 - 10. It almost came back to haunt us too. With the McCoy long bomb for the TD the game was closer than it needed to be.

Thought we should have kicked the 3 also, but I think 7 would have put the rout on so it was a decent gamble.

Maybe they ought to have thrown it to VD. Either way they should have scored 6 from the half inch line with 3 downs to go.

Not QB bashing here but because he's being covered tight almost every game I don't think Alex is even looking at him due to not wanting TO. There just isn't anything we can do about coverage
Alex is SO CAREFUL with the ball. LOL. You could argue he is almost too careful. But it's better than the old Alex who used to turn it over 3 times and lose the game. I guess this is better. I just feel bad for VD because we are wasting him. He can do so much more.
Yeah I know man it can get very frustrating at times lol. I think that is part of why the O is struggling. He needs to learn to trust himself and throw them open once in a while

Vernon Davis would have had a touchdown today if Alex thought the two steps he had on the defender in the endzone qualified as being open enough to warrant a pass attempt.
But anyways, he isnt utilized enough still. Im hoping we run some plays to utilize his speed more (crossing routes, misdirections, etc.)

Right now teams want to take away VD because he was one of two receivers over the past several years with a great rapport with Smith. Someone said Morgan's absence doesn't matter but he was the other receiver with a great rapport. Edwards coming off surgery, Crabtree hasn't been consistent with Smith and neither has Ginn.
So the defenses are keying on VD and Harbaugh says, "Great, we'll kill you with Gore, Sopoaga, Staley, Walker, and whoever else we care to trot out there." As teams watch the film of the first seven games they will realize stopping VD is not the final answer...just part of the puzzle. Most coaches love knowing who the defense is keying on. As soon as they stop keying on VD he will start having monster games again.
An alternative theory is that Harbaugh is keeping VD's ego in check by showing him that Staley and Sopoaga can also contribute and no one should complain.

I wonder if JH is having a "Mike Martz" moment in trying to learn how to use VD the best. At Stanford, JH used a lot of TEs, but (if I understand correctly), they were bigger and taller types - more of the "find the soft zone" or box out your defender for the reception type.
I hope JH figures it out quickly and gets VD back to the big threat he can pose to defenses. Shoot, he seems to have figured out how to use DW creatively. Although not a lot of passes to him either.
