This. -Giants were so MEDIOCRE they EARNED their underdog/road warrior status, and their defense carried them all the f**king way.

Agreed, Dilfer was the worst, and during that specific season Eli was so bad that even with their record at 6-2 the giants owner openly talked to the media about replacing him at the end of the season. The defensive front four of that team won that franchise the super bowl. Still dont know how Asante doesn't catch that interception... I would much rather see Brady undefeated than another godamn Eli manning unstoppable watch commercial.

Brad Johnson with Tampa Bay
His former team mate Dilfer makes this an assured non event.

No, because Billick said it was impossible.

hahahahaha
This shouldn't get posted on a 49ers message board.

LAME!
Will you guys stop with that butt naked Willis picture! I'm at work and NT is supposed to be safe for work!!!!!
No. Trent Dilfer had worse statistics. Hell, even Montana barely had an 87 rating his first SB.

Let's get there first then worry about all this b******t.

Yes he could win a Superbowl or two. But he could never be the worst qb to win one. Dilfer? Rypien? That position is taken.

rypien was 2 time pro bowl, sb mvp the year they won, and also nfl offensvie player of the year. hes no HOF'er but he isnt even in the discussion of worst qb to win a sb IMO
Dilfer by far...and he still thinks he was great. Poor guy

Dilfer does have a Pro Bowl under his belt. Just saying.
The entire premise is backwards. How Alex played in previous seasons is irrelevant. What matter is now he played THIS season. Mark Rypien was a bum, but he got a Super Bowl.
Dilfer/eli manning
