My take? If this years squad is to go to the big dance, which I think we can if we continue to improve, the road there will pass through GB.

Everyone needs to remember that anything can happen in the playoffs. Time and time again have we witnessed so many upsets. Don't you remember the Saints going down to the Seachickens?? Correct me if I'm mistaken. All we need to do is GET to the playoffs. Even though our offense appears to be no match for the Pack, our defense and special teams can end up making the difference in our favor.

our Defense can go toe to toe with any offense out there imo. Offense still has some growing to do. But it will come, then I will.

I agree, and I think dismantling the Lions offense in Detroit sent a message to the whole league that if there is any defense that can stop the Packers, it's the 49ers. I have no doubt that if the 49ers went to Lambeau, it would be a dog fight to the finish.

Alex Smith is 8th in the League. In all the NFL. But you don't want to talk about that. If we can pound the snot out of people for 200 + on the ground I don't blame the team for doing so. That doesn't mean the passing is bad. It means we are up and have a lead and we are running out the game.
