Media and the 49ers

We're getting a ridiculous amount of media humping right now. I knew it'd happen eventually, but didn't expect it to happen after game 2 of this season. There are multiple stories on NFL and ESPN.com's websites already pinning us as "the team to beat", "the most complete team in the league", or "the top of the pile." To think that JH is only 48 years old, I get the feeling that this will last for a time to come.

And this is what it's doing...

bandwagon fans.... smfh
Funny because a good chunk of them said we were a fluke last year. We would regress. Our offense isn't good enough. Alex is just a game manager. The media is a joke. I say f anyone that didn't believe in the 49ers before the season started. Really all I care about is the organization and our die hard fans.

Brian Billick FOX #1 (#2 last week)

The 49ers have a road win against the Packers and a tough physical win against the Lions under their belts. They are clearly the most complete football team in the NFL and have the roster to win games in a multitude of ways.

Pete Prisco CBS #1 (#4 last week)

They are an old-fashioned team doing it in a different era of football. Can they sustain it?

prisco is such a douche
"Matt Ryan's 45 wins since 2008 are the most of any starting QB during that stretch. His 233 consecutive passes without throwing an interception also tops the list. With those numbers it is hard to call this a breakout year, but that is what it will be i"

I thought Alex was on top of that list???

Always has been. Even when he's forced to put us at 1 he throws out an insult. Meanwhile his precious Cardinals he has ranked at 9. If I hadn't been checking CBS sportsline daily for 14 years and wasn't so use to their format I would have left a long time ago. There really are no good sports sites out there. ESPN and Fox Sports are no better.

This. I've been using the site since 2001 for fantasy sports but I absolutely hate their writers. It's a force of habit for me, but I've been trying not to click on any of their NFL links since it's likely to be pieces written by Prisco or Laconforia. Prisco has been such a Niner hater over the years, probably the worst one out there. I can't f**king stand the guy.
