While the coverage team is not as strong as last year its hardly a weakness not. Like on punts they are getting more than 10 yard returns and on kick
they are even taking of to the 30

15-3 in the regular season under Jim Harbaugh, the 49ers don't have any obvious weaknesses. (Sando)
I disagree
right now, its our special teams, specifically our return/coverage game. We lost three important pieces so far in Ginn, Costanzo, and Jones. Its not really a weakness I guess, but something we need to work on imo
Akers is still #1 and Lee is still #1 so no

We need Ginn back for returns. He gave us good returns on several games last year. His ability to turn that corner is unmatched by any guy on the team. Right now Williams and Hunter is adequate. But we are not getting anything more than the usual 20 yds starting field position. Sometimes even less.

they are setting themselves up to have the Texans leapfrog us:
49ers: They are an old-fashioned team doing it in a different era of football. Can they sustain it?
Texans (#2): What can't they do? They might be the most complete team in the NFL.
Why are we old fashioned and the Texans arent? lol we're practically the same team... they have a slightly better offense we have a slightly better D, both of teams are very complete. the 2 obvious best teams in the NFL

Man, that is the most backhanded #1 ranking ever. If you read his intro, he makes it sound like we're a middle of the pack team that is just overachieving.

nah dude they're pass first, we're run first, that's why we're old fashioned.
after 2 games our backup RB almost has almost as many yards as their stating RB
Michael Turner: 28 Att, 74 yards
Kendall Hunter: 14 Att, 64 yards

Power Rankings and Polls are fun and give fans something to talk about.
Given where this team has been for the past decade it's great to be relevent again.
They don't award the Vince Lombardi Trophy in September... What is most important is that the 49ers stay on task, stay focused, not listen to any of experts that are jumping on the bandwagon..
I would rather be lying in the weeds come playoff time than sitting at the top with a big target on our backs. (Don't think this is possible anymore)
Better to be playing well and healthy come playoff time.

Man, I need to watch them talk about us. I don't much time to do that anymore.
