He and Smith need to get on the same page real quick. That pass to the sideline on the streak pattern was a INT. The ball was under thrown so Smith isn't yet comfortable with Williams. Same with Crabtree. Those guys need to get on the same page like yesterday.
If we have any hope of beating the Lions, we have to be ready to play this like it's the only game of the year.
That was either a BADLY underthrown ball or Williams should have broken it off for a back shoulder throw.
If that was an underthrow by Smith, it was his worst throw since the INT. I am more prone to believe that Smith was expecting Williams to stop for the back shoulder but Williams was on a streak. Miscommunication.

by that logic, I could say that smith and vernon davis had some chemistry issues today
I think smith just had trouble throwing the ball into that specific corner of the field. He did that twice and both times the balls were underthrown, the rest of this 11 passes were money.
I have been very pleasantly surprised with Morgan's play this season. I saw him as more of a blocker than pass receiver but am very glad to say I under-estimated him.
That having been said, I expect Harbaugh and Roman to expand Walker's role as a receiver. Also Crabtree is beginning to find his groove a bit more. The combination of the two should pick up a good part of the slack until Morgan can come back.

Bad break for Morgan; 49ers have to consider another WR
The 49ers will have to consider adding another wide receiver to their roster after their leading receiver this season, Josh Morgan, suffered a fractured right ankle. News of Morgan's injury was first reported by CSN Bay Area Sunday night
Morgan is not nearly the team's biggest name on offense, but he has been the 49ers' most constant receiver in recent years, this year especially. He's started every game this season while Braylon Edwards (knee) and Michael Crabtree (foot) have battled their own injuries. Morgan leads the team's wide receivers with 15 catches for 220 yards and a touchdown. The team's leading pass catcher is a tight end, Vernon Davis, who has 22 receptions for 263 yards and three touchdowns.
