This defense is good enough to shut down the Lions. Next week is gonna be a blast.

I like your enthusiasm but nobody has shut down Calvin Johnson and while this defense has done a great job keeping teams out of the endzone even after they drive down the field, Calvin Johnson is a redzone nightmare.

Dude has 8 touchdowns thru 4 games. If we don't bring our A+ game in the pass rush department it won't be pretty.

Just hope the OL comes to play against that monster DL. Alex doesn't do well against inside pass rush.

Bottom line is this

Good teams don't let injuries affect them. Players and coaches just pick up the slack, and everyone contributes more

Bull you need players.. Try that line in Indy right now

Are the Colts a good team? No there D is just awful and the entire O is getting older even with Manning they would struggle this year. There window is over

Oh and there coach is awful.

Edwards goes down Morgan stepped up
Spencer goes down Culliver stepped up
Chilo gets benched Snyder stepped up

its time for Williams to step up

He and Smith need to get on the same page real quick. That pass to the sideline on the streak pattern was a INT. The ball was under thrown so Smith isn't yet comfortable with Williams. Same with Crabtree. Those guys need to get on the same page like yesterday.

If we have any hope of beating the Lions, we have to be ready to play this like it's the only game of the year.

Winning this game is not a "have to", I would rather lose and not have any other injuries and come back after the bye at 100%.

THIS

Indy needs a quarterback. Peyton has proven he can do it with anyone. We can plug another WR into Morgan's limited role. Indy can't replace Peyton. Apples and Asteroids, man.

Exactly.. plus the Colts I honestly don't think are very good even.with Manning

The Colts lost one of the best QBs of all time... not comparable at all.

You're comparing Peyton Manning to Josh Morgan. Weapons are important but we've seen plenty of teams recover from losing a guy or 2. See Green Bay last year.

We got players. While he's a good player, he's not a key player. He's not Vernon, Alex or Patrick. We can replace him. Someone will step up.

Maiocco said on The Game radio station that we will just bring Hastings up off the practice squad, then hope for Edwards to be back October 30th. No big deal, basically play one game with Crab, Ginn and Williams, Walker and Davis, and then trade Edwards for Morgan.

Trying to get reps for Kaep. If Smith were to go down, you don't want a raw rookies coming in.
Will we bring back one that we cut before season?
call ziggy up
This is a bigger loss then some are letting on. Believe it or not, but Morgan is our most reliable and consistent receiver. He's a good blocker and clearly has a good rapport with Smith - unlike Crabtree (getting better though) and Edwards (due to the injury).

But it isn't the end of the world at the same time.
