I really feel that with Gore only averaging about 2.5yrds per carry that they should start putting Hunter into the rotation.

They need a speedy back to rotate so yes. The way he runs he'll break some. Not to mention when he picked up that short kick off he almost broke it! Why not use him?

Frank Gore is done. Hunter should be starting.

But Gore might cry about losing touches

Kendall Hunter should, at the very least, see about 5 touches a game. A couple of designed carries, a couple of screens and a play or 2 to spell Frank when he needs a breather.
If he starts to do well, give him even more touches.

Does a bear s**t in the woods and wipe his ass with a fluffy white rabbit.

Obviously. He's better in open space as breaking tackles than Frank is at this point in his career. He's got young fresh legs. Frank isn't exactly old yet, but he's turned into more of a "plow into the defender and fall forward" kind of guy.
Hunters legs just churn faster, and this allows him to get extra yardage after contact.

YES HE SHOULD but not because gore has "lost a step" he might be getting older and a lil more tired during the game yeah, but until the oline plays consistently im not saying he lost a step. kendall hunter is a good open space guy and can get some of those yards by breaking tackles that gore just hasnt done so far

Same argument was made under Barlow. All of a sudden Frank the Tank came in and the running game sprang to life. The line isn't as terrible as some people think. It clearly needs to improve, but it's not the reason why Frank isn't gaining yards like he once was.
Something ain't quite right with Frank the Tank to be brutally honest. Frank the Tank used to run over people. He doesn't anymore.

Give him more carries if Gore keeps on averaging 2.5 yds per carry

Sure why not? We are only 6 spots out of last place in rushing offense as it is. What could it hurt?

Great point Bill I was thinking the same thing.
Its kinda funny how the new breed of Niner fans builds an admiration for a certain player and when that player doesn't perform they make every excuse in the book for him. The fact is Frank does not look the same, he doesn't have that explosiveness he once did. It doesn't mean that he cant play anymore, he can still play but it has to be in share the load type of way. Kind of how the Jets use LT, the days of being the "Bell cow" are over.

Yes. He must be allowed to share in the touches. The excuse that he is a rookie does not fly with me. It's not like he is rookie QB and he needs to grab a clip board and watch and learn. Running backs are different. Give him the ball and let his speed find the holes that maybe Gore has trouble getting to these days.
