10) Navorro Bowman. This guys isn't as good as Takeo Spikes... he's better. He was all over the field making plays. He's fast and powerful and he reads and reacts well. He has a way of just making blockers MISS. Willis and Bowman are going to be a great combination for a long time to come.
I was actually going to edit it and add Bowman. He's looked really good since the preseason.
He had a pretty bad miss on Lych, but other than that played very well.
At first I though that was Willis who missed that tackle in the backfield, nearly broke my heart..
Well....Willis missed one too....but the Bowman one was worse. This is football tho and its gonna happen to everyone at some point. Lynch is also pretty good at running through people.

I dubnno if there is something different about him this year, if Seely is just a better coach, or if the game was just a fluke....but he was ON on Sunday. He took some chances and lost some yards a few times (all really good returners do), but that guy was better than I've ever seen him.
I noticed his other returns as well. Could this very well be a year where Ginn has returns like Dante Hall and Devon Hester few years back where it seemed like every other game 1 or 2 kicks were returned

I don't see why not. The guys speed alone makes him a major threat. He's shifty enough to make a guy miss, and if he gets a block he's gone. As Micheal Irving said "Did you see him beat that angle?" The guy taking the angle was none other than Earl Thomas, who runs around a 4.37.

The only thing that makes me question it is his history. He has scored 3 times on Kickoffs...and 2 of them were in the same game in Miami. Now he scored two more in the same game.
It makes me wonder if he's a guy who is going to have a monster game once every other year or if he can consistently be a great returner.
We'll see.

Yeah the momentum had shifted starkly to SEA. They were really coming on strong.
Harb looked like he had a conservative game plan and i don't believe the offense would have been able to drive. We scored on FGs and TDs mostly set up by ST and turnovers. I think we only a few good drives and def none in the second half. Also, we could have just as easily thrown an INT, fumbled, etc..
We have a history of choking games away with untimely fumbles and interceptions.
Hmm... I wonder if that had something to do with the decision to play conservative. Having zero turnovers might have played a small part in that win.
Oh... and it's also possible that Seattle turns the ball over trying to take the lead at the end of the game if Ginn hadn't scored. It's also possible that... well, just about anything.
We won. Things happened how they happened.
Yay!

Yeah anything could have happened really. I'm glad we won.

Some thing I noticed after watching the game again... was the foot work of Alex Smith. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! More so while in the pocket and going through his progressions. Last year and the years past he would take his drop... and then it looked as his feet were planted as he looked at his options... In this game... He would take the drop back... stand in the pocket... and pitty patter his feet...
This movement I believe reduces the time it takes him to get the ball out after making his decision on where to throw the rock. +1 Jim Harbaugh.
I noticed that too. Seems like he's doing small hops as he goes through his progressions right? It's something he has had a lot of trouble with since he got here, seems like he got A LOT better.
Gore was hungover and i'm sticking to that.

There is really no way to prove it one way or the other, but I think it was intentional.
VD was probably like "the f**k he shifting for.....?"

Earl Thomas is the fastest Seahawk. He ran a legit 4.29 40 and he could not close on Ted Ginn. He runs down almost anyone else in the league.

Did you notice Staley false start? As I always say, our success against Dallas and other more challenging teams will hinge upon our O line and I pray they are not intimidated against better pass rushers, otherwise we will see false starts and holds GALORE!!!!

good read on why Gore wasn't able to do much.

basically, Seattle's main objective was to stop gore. Seattle's not so secret weapon, Earl Thomas.
I dunno if that answers all of my questions, but it was Thomas on a number of those plays that was making the stop. I noted his play as well. So the real question...Is Thomas that good or has Frank lost a step? Or is it a little of both? Or was it just a bad game? Who knows....but its worth keeping an eye on.
While watching the game, I was thinking it was a combination of his legs and vision. There weren't many holes open for him, but there was a few and it seemed most of the time, he went the opposite direction or he tried to find a non-existent hole in the middle. Right now, I chalk it up to rust.
