He needs to transition from the digit system to the WCO . . . anyone know what he ran at Wisconsin?

Comes from a more traditional offense from Wisconsin
played against a higher level of competition in the Big Ten
More developed right now than Colin Kaepernick
He can be our Marc Bulger of the future.

Good find P. I like that "fear nothing". Good athlete and better person.

I went to the U of Minn., so I've seen Tolzien play in college.
My favorite aspect of his game is his throwing motion. It's sort of like Shaun Hill, except with more precision.

I think it is a good pick up, I just would have liked a veteran to have been signed because if Alex plays bad or is injured which has happened every year, but one season we will be hitching our season on to Colin K who is not ready and Scott Tolzien. I know there is not any viable options available for veteran qb's, I'm just concerned witht he inexperience!

Props PT!! You were definitely the first to pimp Tolzien and that was ages ago.

I watched Him for 2-3 years at Wisconsin being I`m in Big-Ten county(Illinois) and the badgers were a 75-25 percent running team whenhe did get to pass he was very good ,but you could not really get a good handle on how good he really could be, but after watching him against the 9ers H e looked like He was able to really showcase his qb skillls in other at Wisconsin they were suppressed I hope that clears up the picture on this guy.

The 49ers made a serious push to sign Tolzien after the lockout lifted, said agent Joe Panos.
"It was a gut-wrenching decision between San Fran and San Diego," Panos said. "The kid lost sleep over it."

I wonder who will be cut for him. I think theyre big on Colin Jones so I dont think it will be him. I'm thinking Tukuafu or Kristick.
