They looked like they mailed it in to be honest. Just like, whatever, it's the Browns, we're up 17, we'll win.

I hate to rip on the bay area, since that's where was born and raised and I mostly love it there, but all the complaining and the "40 whiners" label etc, is unfortunately a very real part of the culture. Whether they're spoiled, or just contrarian, anyone who has been around enough to compare the population to anywhere else can see it.

Some Niner fans will be critical of a super bowl win.

It's something in the culture where people can't take anything at face value and believe they know something that other people don't. It's well exemplified in the Southpark episode where they're driving around in Prius' high-fiving each other and smelling their own farts.

Just look at the parking lot where people swear they are enlightened and turn up their nose to other peoples' opinions. They'll arrogantly put up some argument that may or may not be true, but whether or not it is, they'll be dismissive and condescending toward people that disagree. I'll admit that I even catch myself falling into it occasionally, but at least I'm aware of it and try to avoid it.

I love a lot of things about the bay area, but unfortunately, the culture of snobby condescension is very real.

...how many posters on here are actually from the Bay Area?

Seriously man. Bunch of f**king cry babies.

Especially after the hell we have been through the last 10 years....it should be sunshine and f**king puppies in here. We are fans...not the coaching staff. Let them worry about the "oh noez Alecks overthrowz teh Krabtreez!"

We are 6-1 gents. Enjoy it. Look at the Raiders...one f**king injury and their entire season is in jeopardy.

I forget the LB on the Browns but he was getting a lot of pressure and made a bunch of plays. He was getting by somebody pretty easily, need to fix that crap.

Man, i give this post a +500000

Well said. So many fans are greedy these days, take whats given to you, and thats a 6-1 record. If you have the audacity to complain while we have that kind of record you dont belong as a fan.

It's one thing to strive for perfection, it's another one to whine and complain when you don't reach it.

Another annoying trait around here is the whole we played crappy in the second half, can't do that against good teams. Yes we played poorly in the 2nd half, but can't do that against who? Can't do that against the Saints, can't do that against the Patriots, can't do that against the Ravens? All these teams save the Ravens played poorly and lost to inferior teams, Ravens where able to come back against a poor Cardinal team. This is the God Damn NFL people, not College football where some games should be 60-3.

It's time for some folks to consider turning in their fan cards!

Very well put. Since I left the area even left the state - wow what a difference.

Very bad offensive performance in the second half, but I'll take an ugly win. Great game by the defense.

they dont ask how, they ask how many, every year for every good team theres clunkers, we are still very much a work in progress, only difference from other teams is that we're 6-1 with a 4 game div lead
I think it is a good sign when a team wins despite looking somewhat bored. They still worked hard, didn't make mistakes...just couldn't get excited even though they tried to. Even the coaching calls were seemingly safe and based on an obvious belief that the Browns couldn't win unless the game was given away to them.

BTW, the complaining about which players should start...for the first time in years we have smart and rational coaches. I am fine if they use Player X instead of Player Y because I believe they know what they are doing. Isn't that a nice change!

Definitely. There's a false sense of entitlement here.
