He should be fine hopping a flight tomorrow, shouldn't he?

Just seemed like I knew about him being signed before he did or else my family in Daily City would've called me already.

Huh... call them and find out! Get the scoop for us, yo!

My wife is up there getting the scoop for me right now, hopefully I he'll hook me up with all kinds of 9er gear. I guarantee come TC a big crowd of my family will be there.

Sweet! Take lots of pictures, man!

Can't stuck down here in Hawaii.

But I agree with most, he maybe just a camp arm, or they may have him learn another position, even my wife thinks he should.

Just got off the phone with my cousin and I guess it was for a lap top, guitar and weed.

"Stuck" in an island paradise... poor you.

Well, I hope for your sake he pans out doing something. That'd be rad.

People seem to be underating this guy as an UDFA. No one sees a bit of Hines Ward mixed with Randl-el coming out of college? He was QB of the ducks cause he was one of, if not the most athletic guys on the team. He tough and doesn't shy away from contact, plays with attitude, quick as hell and adds versatility with the ability to throw the ball for some trick plays.

We will find out if he has hands and can learn to run routes, but if any rookie UDFA wide receivers are gonna get a roster spot... the early money is on him.

I still like him as a running back.

Why's everyone want him at WR?

I don't think he could play QB in the AFL or CFL either.

I get the feeling he probably be a wildcat type player. He's to small to be a QB.

That's why I'm saying running back, mang.

Going from running QB to NFL RB is a much different transition than from QB to WR and he isn't all that big. Robinson did it but he was allot bigger coming out of college and he still wasn't all that great as a RB, not taking into account his special teams impact.

You want to get a guy like this into space, not running between the tackles.

Hmm... I think he's big enough. He's 5'11 220 somethin'. He's also got a lot more natural lean in his cuts, where Robinson was really stiff... and just ran straight forward with his helmet down so he had no field vision.

From what I saw, the kid can make people miss is traffic and he's really good at absorbing and dishing hits. Just seems more natural the way he runs to stick him at RB.

Plus, I would think it's an easier transition because you don't have to learn route running as much and all the minutia that goes along with getting off the line against the jam and what not... just hit the gap you're supposed to and if you've got instincts, you find a crease.

Dunno... we'll see. Maybe he ends up the starting QB? Who knows, right?

I really like the move.. the guy has made a lot of poor decisions, but as a player he does have potential. I know he was drafted in the UFL draft for this year as well. Not sure why some are shocked though, we all knew the 49ers were going to sign at least 1 udfa QB

Didn't know he was 220, that is sizable. But just playing devil's advocate when you look at a RB, you see a guy who probably started playing ball at 5 and developed the skills and muscle memory to protect from and dish-out contact... getting under pads, setting that shoulder to run over a defender. Just from the limited highlights of Masoli, he's got the mentality to take on the defender but he hits and falls forward while churning his legs, but its to get the extra yard and not outrun the arm tackle like the standard RB in the NFL. He's missing those consistent churning legs right after contact to keep running through tackles. Thats my .02 on why hes a better fit at WR.

I would love to see him as our slot/KR/PR/RB/Wildcat QB/ Trick play guy etc. But we gotta look at his shot of actually making the team...

1) QB - Could just be me but I dont see it, he can be a camp arm but since Harbaugh is pretty knowledgeable about him from his Pac10 days... I don't see him last there very long before a Jerette Johnson or some other UDFA QB comes in to fill that roll.

2) RB - as mentioned earlier, its possible but not plausible. One of the main ways to get on the field is pass protection as a RB... being a QB for so long, probably not his fore-tee.

3) WR - his most logical position. Get's his athleticism in space, he understands the mind of a QB and what QB's like to do. He is quick and shifty, and tough enough to wear he would relish the Hines Ward role of decleating unaware DB's.

Add in KR/PR as a plus.... lets see him play and prove he is deserving of one of these spots!
Went to St. Louis High. Beat it.

WHACK!!
someone hurry up and hook this guy up with minor so he can get kicked off the team

I know he's a complete idiot, but when Jeremiah stole that stuff he had kinda good intentions.

I lived in Eugene last year, and all of my friends were college kids at UO. I knew a ton of people who hung out with football players, girls who dated them, ect.

There was a huge fight where a Oregon football player got jumped by a fraternity. Pretty sure it was the punter (beard). He got beat up real bad. Those guys who beat Beard up were the same guys Masoli robbed.

I know, I know, it's still not right, good people don't steal, as a QB you should have integrity, blah blah blah....

But I'd love it if I was a punter and my QB did that for me. Even if he was a stoned cleptomaniac
