Am I the only one under-whelmed with our Recievers??

I'm sorry but I really think we should be looking to upgrade our wideouts when free agency begins. I'm not sold on any of our wideout threats other than V.Davis. Michael Crabtree has been average, Josh Morgan isn't drawing any double teams, Ted Ginn....... is fast.... I'm no GM but I'd be looking for some more weapons once FA starts..

Underwhelmed would be an understatement. Can they be first rate? We don't know the answer to that and, to me, that means we need to bring in some competition. The improvement I would most like to see is in route running and finding the open space. That has a lot to do with scheme, so the 9ers may be greatly improved in that area with the current group.

He ran a low of 4.46 and a High of 4.54 in the 40.

Here is a write up on Morgan coming out of VT.... And it sounds pretty spot on...

Strengths: . . . Is quick and displays good change-of-direction skills. Knows how to find soft spots in zone and not afraid to go over the middle. Shows good sideline awareness and has generally done a good job of getting feet down inbounds. Flashes excellent upper body strength and can shed press coverage . . . Runs hard after the catch and flashes the ability to pick up yards after contact. Flashes a mean streak and can sustain blocks if he wants to. Plays with a good motor and looks to throw blocks downfield.

Weaknesses: Lacks elite top end-speed and is going to have a harder time getting behind the defense at the NFL level. Doesn't have great elusiveness, isn't fast enough to go the distance when gets a seam and isn't much of a big-play threat . . . Character is a big concern; charged with obstructing an officer in late September 2006 and Virginia Tech suspended him for the Georgia Tech game as a result.
